400SC is gone, unless you order from the large biz section and pay 400(extra) bucks for the 3 year warentee. Oh how i wish i would have gotten like 10 of them last time they had a decent deal.

it has PCI-E 8x though, no AGP. probably not great for a gaming computer.

Looks like the 400SC has been replaced by the 420SC. Still some dealage, but not as good.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but has anyone been able to get MBM to work well with the 400SC? I traded my 2.8 with a 3.0 I had lying around and MBM reports that my temps at idle hover around 45-48 deg C and under load get up to 75 or 76 (although I've read that the machine should shut down when the CPU reaches these temps). I've tried the 3.0 with both it's original heat sink (bonded fin, looks/feels like steel), and the 2.8's heat sink (all aluminum, one piece - I think it's better/intended for lower air flow cases like the 400SC); I've also reseated both sinks (without replacing Dell's thermal paste though). If anyone has got their 400SC to work well with MBM, can you share how you've done this? I've tried selecting both the 400SC profile and also used the motherboard that is mentioned on the 400SC unofficial FAQ (both give same results, although I think they are not using the correct sensor...).

Oh yeah, I wish I would have bought about 5 of these machines during the last deal to replace my other machines... I never would have imagined how quiet they are.

Which settings are you using? In my sensor list, I'm showing ADT7460/7643's... Is this what yours is showing? I've read elsewhere that the 400SC's board uses a different sensor - Is it possible that this sensor is responsible for the high temp reading?
