In the configuration you had it shipped, should be:

2 half hight 3.5" bays 1 full/ 1 empty
1 x 3.5" Floppy bay empty(needs HD rails)
2 x 5.25" bays 1 used for CD-ROM

So you can add another standard size drive, possibly a 3rd in the floppy's location, if you get drive rails, and a 4th in the open 5 1/4" bay with an adaptor(hd cooler)

I'm trying to figure out the expandability of this puppy. If I read the specs correctly, it has built-in controllers for 2 SATA disks and 2 IDE devices (but with the comment that this is for optical devices, I assume this is a relatively low performance interface not really suited to disks). So, to run 4 disks, it would be necessary to add a PCI disk controller (PATA, SATA, or SCSI). Is this true?

So, is this the replacement for the 400SC...meaning no more 400SC? I think this is a great deal but it isn't a good of a universal deal without the AGP slot. I have bought several 400SCs, which I am using for everything from a desktop, to a Linux desktop to a Linux thin-client server. I am concerned this is the end of an era.

It does have 8mb integrated video, at least I thought it did.

Remember that this will take PCI-E x8 video cards only; no x16 slots.

Actually I didn't think there were any PCIe x8 video cards out there. If you read a little further up, theres a link to someone on another forum who modified the x8 slot to be a x16 and is using a video card in there now. Apparently the x8 slot on this mobo is actually a x16 with just a piece of plastic keeping it from being used as a x16. Of coure YMMV, and you risk damaging the machine, but for $250 you're not losing too much.

These come and go all the time (or did for the 400sc) they generally last a few days, almost always dead by wednesday evening.

Hmmm... with that $10 hard drive upgrade 40gb -> 80gb, it says $259 ($509 originally) on the next to the last page. Yet once I add it to my cart, it says $509-$225 = $284. What's going on here?

The only sure things in life are Death and Taxes. But actually it looks like the savings are reduced to just $225 instead of $250. You people who waited are probably regretting it now huh

I for one am pissed, like i said I ordered 8 of em, they canceled my second order of 3. Apparently the limit is 5 per deal. So I had to pay another $25 to get the other 3... since its a new deal. 225 off instead of 250... anyhow 25$ aint bad since i am makin a bunch off the top anyhow.

What sucks is my first order is arriving on the 24th and the next order is showing up December 3rd. Well at least I can Bill 2 trip charges to the clients this way I spose.
