Thanks one7. I found the coupon code# but now the monitor doesn't appear at Dell. I will keep trying their web site but for now it's not displaying all monitors.

Tom's Hardware had a recent article about this monitor, and compared it with 7 (or was it 9?) other LCDs... iirc, they rated this one tops.
Dell does have their total satisfaction guarantee, so if you're not happy with it, I think you can return it and your only cost would be the return shipping... check Dell's return policy.

Re: Going from 17" CRT to 19" LCD...
I have a 17" trinitron and a 19" Dell M993 at home, the screen real estate going from either one to this monitor is HUGE! I haven't actually received mine yet, but we have seven of these at work so I knew exactly what I was getting when I ordered. The first time you look at this when you plug it in it's going to seem gigantic, but it's amazing how quickly you can get used to it ;-)
My .02 on the gaming speed, a friend of mine ordered the L90D+ when it was $350 at Newegg, and I have run a few tests on the 1905s at work with UT2k3 and HL2. I have to admit the L90D+ is a little smoother in games, but the motion video quality is not very good at all (surprising considering the high refresh) and the overall construction of the L90D+ seemed a little flimsy to me. You might also want to check out the L90D+ thread, seems to be some quality control issues. If you're purely a gamer, then the L90D+ might be a better choice, but the 1905fp has a better balance of quality, accurate colors and speed. Just my opinion though.

I bought the 1905fp a couple of weeks ago when it was $380. It was an excellent monitor for everything but gaming. the contrast was great and text was also sharp and clear.
But after playing HL2 for about 20 mins. I got a headache from the ghosting.
Returned it for the 2001fp and its much better for gaming. I can hardly detect any ghosting at all. The contrast is not quite as good as the 1905 but i'll give that up for a better gaming monitor.
And by the way I didn't have one dead pixel in either monitor.
