I have this monitor and its awesome. i got this and XPS700 for 1000 dollars, but that doesn't mean this isn't a hot deal. i think its the lowest ever.

the memory card reader on mine is screwy, i don't know if its only mine or if it's a widespread problem, but who cares about the reader!

its awesome. mine has a bit of a ghosting but something i can live with (esp. for my price) i think they have fixed it with a later hardware rev. (mine is a02)

Dell likes to add tax, but mine was still less than $600 shipped. I had been content to wait for more info on the new BenQ models, but at this price I jumped on it. I really need to quit checking this forum.

Is there a difference between the 2407WFP and 2007WFP besides the size?

I am about to buy the 2007WFP i think...

2407 has component input and memory card reader
2007 does not, but it still has usb2 hub and svideo+composite input
E207 does not has none of those. only dvi and vga. (for this monitor, its 1 for $221, 2 for $418 today. dell is on a ROLL)

What's really bad is that I just went back and got the set of Logitech 5500's I've been wanting too for $225 shipped. They're $290+ shipped from the Egg right now.

Also the 2407 supports a higher resolution - 1920x1200 vs the 2007's 1680x1050, and is supposedly HDCP compliant, though I have yet to see any tests on how well that works.

I have read the 2007WFP also supports HDCP via DVI.

Can anyone confirm this?

How does DPA get ya more of a disount? Please show me how?

If you have a DPA account, select "pay with a credit card". It will then tell you that you can save an extra 2% using DPA instead. Select this option. You will get an application form, but there is a link if you already have an account. The 2% should show up at the bottom on the final screen before you actually make the purchase.

I'm getting them. These and a 2407 are both "In Production". Oh, the price on the 5500's when combined with the 2407, $213.55 shipped. I believe that's a really nice deal.

Two more comments... First, I'm glad that I didn't notice that the 8800 GTX's were also stacking the discounts (I'm still just planning on Stepping Up my GTO). Second, assuming that Dell doesn't pull what some online sellers do and just refund everyone, what do you suppose is going to happen to the person that allowed these deals to stack? ;p

probably nothing, deals like these hardly make a dent on Dell's bottom line
(they're bleeding a lot more $$$ from lost business/server sales, and lost customers from dealing with overseas incompetent support desks)
