Cost me 99.99 out the door. These cards are actually manufactured by PowerColor, not AMD but use the reference cooler. Ignore my comment above.

I can tell by the PCB markings that it was made by PowerColor but with AMD reference specifications.

It is a nice price, however, as can be seen but the last few driver releases, AMD has pretty much left these cards out to dry. All improvements/fixes are going to the GCN line of cards, not the older BARTS. These are all EOL'ed, so I expect prices to drop a bit more while they clear out inventory.

HD7870 is a GCN card.

It has the same number of GCN stream processors (1280) as the R9 270 and 270X.

Planning to sell my 560 ti after getting the 7870 so ~twice the frames for about $50 seems like a good idea.

Just received and installed it, gets a bit noisy during high load but quiet during normal operation. My P280 keeps the overall noise down anyways...

If you didn't already order one, then it doesn't matter at this point. Back in the 95 ~ 98SE days, Diamond was in their heyday, and pretty much set the bar. They sort of faded away, and this recent return I found a bit surprising. This particular card seems nothing special, just a reference build, but the user reviews didn't look bad.

Poking around the website they also have a 290x @ $279 or a 290 @ $249 both include free shipping in USA. Not too shabby.
