I ordered with the 2407/7950X2 and got the ack email, but not an confirm. I called Online sales a minute ago, and she says she sees the order in the system, but some people haven't gotten the confirm because she said they were FLOODED with orders for the EPP deal on the XPS700. She said she heard word on the 'net has spread like wildfire about it and that you wouldn't believe the amount of orders they have for it. But she assured me, that my order IS in the system and should be processed by EOB (end of business) Wednesday and I will get a confirm email by then.

Eh, not really. I ordered with a 7900gs for a little over $1,200. That's good in my book!

BUT, I'm not even sure if it's really even alive. The problem with no confirmation for SO many people is not good at all. I hope it's just because of the July 4 holidays, but there are a lot of theories and excuses in the SD thread on this deal. All I know is that if/when I get a confirmation, I'll mention it there.

Looks like anyone who order the 7950 will be getting an email from Dell telling them to choose another video card. The problem is that the 7950 is not compatible with the Windows XP 64bit OS as of right now.

I'm order one tonight with Dual 7900GTX's.

SD thread pointed out that there was a new driver that allows compatability, but it has yet to effect cancellations or holds Dell is putting on these orders. =\

Yeah I ordered 5 systems without the 7950 and thought all were a steal. Every system ranging from the basic with a single 7900GS to a dual 7900GTX was around 40% off Dell Home's price. Still no confirmation email though. I'll post when I get mine as well.......

I posted this on FW. I placed my order for the XPS700. I got my order acknowledgement and confirmation within a minute of placing the order. (Est. ship date 8/15). I went through my school's link to reach the Dell EPP site. (Don't know if that makes a difference.)

XPS700 Pentium 920, XP x64
2GB ram ($73 upgrade from 1GB seemed okay, the upgrade to 4GB wasn't a good value)
Two 24" 2407's. The 2nd was $630 after discounts.
256MB nVidia GeForce 7900 GS

I figure I can sell the extra 24" for $750 to 800. That, or sell the system + monitor and keep the 2nd monitor...

That makes this a super sweet deal for me @ base config with a 30" LCD @ $2834. -30% = roughly $1985 - basicly a free system with the monitor perchase!

Unfortunately, the way they set it up the 30" LCD doesn't get the 30% off. Otherwise I would have gotten it.

just did it this morning...i think if the order with the 7950 goes through, i'm going to cancel the dual 7900gtxs...but for now, only the one with the dual 7900s is confirmed. (even though its a blank email from dell)

I got a blank email also, so I called Dell and they said that some of the SKU's where not in the system and that they had to complete the orders for the customers. Which they did for me while I waited. They I got a emailed stating that my order had been Confirmed.

If you haven't got an email from dell then you need to call them. Also, the coupon only works for One computer, if you order more it seems like they are being canceled by Dell.

So If I were to buy one of these could I replace the CPU with a Intel® Pentium® Processor Extreme Edition 965? They are both LGA775 slots right? Or does this chipset support that CPU at all?

I ordered with no media package installed and the 7900gs of corse not the 7950gx2 both of which seem to have had issuse from dell reported.I took a continueing education class last fall at my local community college and have a fresh ID that apears to have a exp of 2008 as well - claimed my self as a student with all my info - may have helped as well.?
I have heard that the media center installed package is not conpatible with the x64 says some from dell and is messing up there orders along with of course the 7950gx2 problem
I have heard rumurs of first of multiple orders going through and the remaining of multiples are not.Some how looks as if dell is going to try to limit one per customer - so reported.?
