DEAD

My first hot deal post

Tigerdirect has EVGA GeForce GTX 460 768mb Superclocked Video card for $110 in their 71 hour weekend sale.
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&sku=E145-0462

$170 - $40 rebate - $20 coupon (code RCD22909) = $110.

We still have $10 off $100 Visa promotion so another $10 off.
http://usa.visa.com/personal/visa-s...m&merchantId=160&pageId=15630&signatureFlag=9

So $100 is what everyone should be able to pull off.

If you have their $10 coupon through either enrolling their spam list or Facebook, use it to sweeten the deal

$100 - $10 = $90 plus shipping ($3.75)

Now, the best part of it is this is not only the superclocked version but also the rebate is good for up to 2 cards as well as the $20 coupon code.

This is the best deal I've seen yet for a GTX460. I like this much more than the Galaxy for $90 with $60 in rebates. The EVGA card is superior, the company is superior, and the rebate is only $40 (still a lot, but at least it's not two rebates).

I have the standard EVGA GTX460-768 and love it. This deal is for the superclocked version, which has a better warranty and is clocked higher, obviously (although all 460s can get this high).

curious if you can get this and use along an ati card? have this around for cuda and physx software and ati card for the rest? perhaps respective drivers can coexist?

I'm pretty sure you can hack the nVidia drivers to allow this. I'm not positive though. The AMD drivers might prevent it.

AFAIK, windows 7 supports heterogeneous video cards like XP did, but don't quote me on that one, though.

I'm getting this one because the last one I had would only get up to about 725mhz...there's always an exception.

Might want to make sure that you don't have a power problem. Every EVGA 460 sold today runs at least 720, so I'm surprised you found a card that wouldn't go above 725. What brand was it?

No power problems here...knock on wood. I guess this was an older EVGA 460 as it was factory clocked at 675. Worked fine at 720, anything more than about 725 and I'd get artifacting.

Wierd. Bad luck, I guess. My Gigabyte OC GTX460 1GB cards come 715, but they go to 820 easily. I had one of them at 840 for a while.

I don't currently have them overclocked any more, because my power supply heats up too much.
