While certainly a possibility, I do believe that Coca-Cola (of all the sodapop companies) has learned to be very cautious about dealing with the public. The overwhelming motivation behind a purchase of a particular brand of pop is marketing (obviously not for ATers, being a cut above the masses like we are ) and nobody has had that point smashed home with more force than Coca-Cola.
Now when one is mailing out hundreds of envelopes to each of thousands of addresses, obviously there's gonna be plenty of mistakes. So while we might not get quite all of the ones we hope to, I expect we'll get at least 80% and probably at least 90%.
Having said all that, the human ability to do something completely insanse does exist. Stupidity is one of the most powerful forces known. So they might try to claim they ran out of coupons or some other silly thing. They also can run some simple queries to eliminate some of the more obvious fraud. But this really brought Coke into the public eye, and continues to do so via eBay, threads like this, coupons pouring in, people buying
a shoppng cart full of two-liters, and coke being emptied off of shelves faster than ever.
In other words, sure they can be sta-ooopid. But if they have any brains, we're gonna be belching up a storm.
