Weis fixed their self checkouts so that they no longer take the coupons without a cashier override.

One of these days we're going to hear about a store that refuses them altogether (sounds like a few experiences here come close)

IMO, coke has pretty crappy implementation of the whole process. and i dont think things went too well for them. wonder how many people got fired over this contest.

Another place that doesn't give you grief over the coupon is Albertson's. At least the one I go to in San Jose. I just point out the coupon for 5 2-liter bottles and tell the checker to scan it 5 times. No problem. The last one showed the bagger and said "check this out'.

Try CokeZero. I kept trying to get used to Diet Coke, and couldn't, but when they came out with CokeZero, I was like "Wow! tastes just like regular Coke." Or try Vault Zero -- it tastes similar to Mountain Dew, but with more caffeine, and with whatever sweetener they put in the "Zero" drinks, it tastes great. Just make sure to serve them as cold as possible -- they're much better ice cold.

Blame it on the sugar and caffeine rush. We're all whacked out on soda. And it's the gift that keeps giving. Just today, I received 5 more coupons... making my total coupons received 19... out of a possible 27 won.

I'm not even much of a soda drinker... so a lot of these are being given out. I'm saving just a few for myself.

I've already said it in this thread, but companies take out insurance policies on these sort of things. If people end up claiming more than a certain dollar amount of prizes, then the insurance covers a all but a certain pre-defined amount that they probably expected to pay to begin with.

So if anything, an insurance company took a big ass hit because they were too stupid to see how easy it is to win.

I can't see a reason why a grocery store would give anyone problems for using the coupons as long as people aren't redeeming all of their coupons at once and cleaning out their stock. If you want a sure fire way to get them to accept them, call them a few days before and tell them you are coming by with these coupons and ask if they can adjust their stock to accomodate. The only real problem is that they no longer have coke products in stock and it might make them lose customers. If a person can get their chips but not their coke at a store, but can get both at another store, they're going to the other store because they don't want to wait in two checkouts.

Has anyone had any luck redeeming multiple coupons at the same time? Or I guess a better question is, has anyone tried to redeem multiple coupons only to be rejected? Would the guy with 50 cokes care to weigh in on how he went about obtaining all 50 (one trip or multiple trips)?

I went to the grocery store, and simply told them that each coupon can only be used once per order. So they just did 5 bottles per order. I got those 50 bottles all at the same time.

Also, it helps to go to the younger checkers at the store.
