Yup, no problems here! My office max had one left! The pricematch was %100 not %110 but I decided not argue for $2. The lady that gave me problems with a price match wasn't there today!

44.97 - 20(price match) - 20(MIR) = 4.97 + tax(~$2)

So for $7, not too bad!

EDIT: I bought them, actually left the store, then came back with my receipt which did not show the rebate and the office max ad.

Edit 2: Wow!! Powerful woofer! Too much for me, I keep it at the lowest. Otherwise, a nice 2.1 system for the price!

No problem here in Houston. BB guy even asked me if he could keep the ad after he price matched. Not for store verification purposes, he said he was going to call his girlfriend to come get some for him. I guess store employees can't price match items for themselves. Go figure. For me ended up being $7.05 after PM and rebate.

When I got the in line for Customer service I saw the guy in front of me getting turned away. Didn't look good. They told me some BS about how they knew about this deal so and look "after rebate" their price was the same, since the officemax was $25 after rebate. I called OM to check. They told me it was an instant rebate. So I went back in, and told them, well it's not the "same price" if I can walk out the store with a $25 charge on my CC instead of a $45. So the lady went to look for her manager, and couldnt find him. So she sighed and credited my card for the ~$20 price match.

What a pain.

Worth it for $7 speakers though, even if they're arent the greatest quality.

It was all going fine for me, I had the girl more worried about the 110%, she was handing my dad the reciept for him to sign it and pay for it when my dad just blurts, "So where's the rebate." This of course get's the attention of the manager who says I could have one or the other. It would have went smoothly, yet my dad had to open his big mouth.

So now, my dad is going back tomorrow and just price matching via American Express.

Best Buy has free shipping on website....I ordered one online. When it arrives I will take the ad (Officemax) and the shipping receipt back to Best Buy and ask them to adjust the price. If this does not work I will return them. They are in stock on website.

Hello all, i got in on this deal also. But im still a little confused on which receipt to send it. I have a rebate receipt that was printed out when i bought the item at original price. I then Pm'ed and was given a yellow receipt saying i PM'ed with OfficeMax for 24.99. My rebate receipt printout has a different transaction # then my yellow PM'ed sheet. So do i have to send the yellow sheet that says i Pm'ed? or can i send in the original rebate receipt that printed out and shows i bought it for 44.97?

does BB run checks on transcation #'s? can they deny if i send in the wrong receipt and say my old receipt is not valid?

I bought 3 sets and they will come out to total less than $15!!!!! Now that is a hot deal. I have ALL 3 sets hooked up to my 5.1 Realtek Audio97 chip on my mobo. It sounds great, worth more than the $15 I paid.

I would use the final receipt because they may (probably?) check the receipt number and see it doesn't match or was a return. But use the rebate form from Bestbuy.com instead of the register printed one. At least that is what I am doing.

Hey, I'm thinking of getting a 340 set to replace the HK-595 speakers I bought... I find the lack of headphone out very annoying. One thing holding me back is that wire from the left to right speaker. How long is that wire exactly? I can't find a review that specs it.

Did it today in Chicago. Bought the speakers, threw them in my trunk, grap the officemax circular and went to customer service. When I went to the CS, I took out the rebate reciept and form so she only saw the sales reciept that didn't indicate any rebate. Told the lady about the price difference, and no questions asked, refunded 110%.

That was a good question about which reciept to send in. Maybe send in both? Anyway, sweet deal and great post!!!

We're going back tonight though. But yeah, the fact that I'm 5'3 and 95lbs, my dad is 6'2 ~200lbs, punching him in the stomach wouldn't be the best idea.

worked for me, the guy gave me more problems with the 40gig HD. He gave the dumbest excuse i ever heard, "we can only pricematch circuit city's regular price of 79.99 because that extra 20 dollar covers advertisting costs so we can't pricematch it" I so wanted to laugh at his face but the manager finally showed up and agreed to the pricematch.
