Tell him, "Either give me the price match and the rebate in accordance with your company policy or give me the District and Regional Manager's telephone number."


I had a former co-worker try to spew this crap to me today on a PM and the $5 coupon with the Scorpion King DVD. I pointed to the sign and politely told the CS Supervisor that if he had a problem that I'd gladly talk with Chris (The Floor Mgr and Dick Schultz's, founder, nephew) Walked out spending $10.60 for the DVD and knowing I didn't cheat the system and their own "rules".

I picked up these speakers today. The CSR at the exchange/return counter seemed willing to do the pricematching, but unfortunately my local OM was OOS. The guy at OM said that they may get a few more in on Fri, so I'll check again and hope to pricematch later.

Awesome deal! Just picked up my Z-340s and didn't run into any problems. I didn't get a 110% pricematch, but I could care less! Final price came to around $7 AR including tax.

Well, i just got my credit card credited with ~$23 or so, in all got the speakers for $48 - 23 PM - 20 MIR so around $5 for a trio of decent speakers. They're ok although some of the Altec Lansing speakers and the Apple 2.1 speakers sound much better to me, but these were $100-200 cheaper so who am I to complain! Thanks for the deal, yo.

All 4 office max in my area (san leandro, union city, fremont, milpitas) were sold out, the csr knew they were sold out and probably would call to verify ne way. no dice for me because i was too slow to get it. At least i got the 40gb hdd for $20 to go thru.

bought 2 sets from 2 different BB in Miami area (1 set each store). they both had other boxes sitting there waiting to be bought. didn't bother with 110% as Customer Service lines were LONG, just took the 100%. so price was around $26.25 - $20 = $6 each set.

checkout girl at the 2nd store got boss to approve PM then ran my credit card and said "here's your receipt... and here's your rebate... and wow you're getting these for $4!" i just grinned at her and left.

Then the stupid cashier can print up a few fake receipts and get the rebate herself. They cannot, legally, require that you give them anything of something you purchase. I am 100% sure of this, unless they then want to give you the open box price (which should be ~$6).


Fight for your rights, and them backing out of their policies. The shouldn't do that.

The Milpitas one had at least 5 left at 4:00pm yesterday. I should know, because I went to the Best Buy at McCarthy Ranch to go Pricematch it, they call over there and OM says they're out. I go over there, see they have 6 on shelf, come back, tell the guy call again. He calls again, same answer.

Go over to OfficeMax once again, bring up two boxes to the register, show the damn cashier (the one who was answering the phone) that they had at least 2 on shelf and that if anyone asks if they have them in stock, they do. She goes, "Well the computer doesn't show them as in stock, blah blah blah." Then, we go back to BB, wait at least 30 minutes in line for someone to stop going on break (this fat b!tch went on break) which left one person at Customer Service to service a line of at least 15. Finally, our turn in line, she says something about a rebate, my dad says we didn't get a rebate, she calls the manager (who we had been talking to throughout all of this fiasco), the manager just says, give them the pricematch, don't even bother calling. So after an hour, we got the pricematch, and then I went over and got a Peach Pleasure from Jamba Juice

Wow, mrcodedude. I was at BB milpitas at 6:30 and the csr rep at the desk said that someone came earlier and they called OM and said it was oos, geuss that was u! lol. I was going to go to OM to take a look, but didn't bother as i took the csr's word. Oh well, i do have the rebate receipt and the rebate forms, and i believe i still have my bro's z-340 box, do u think i can send in the rebate like that, or is it fraud and i will be prosecuted for it?
