I've been running 2 of these in SLI for over a year and I've been very happy with them. Fast, quiet, and cool, ran everything I've thrown at them extremely well in both 2D and with 3D Vision. Picked up a 3rd for the wife to replace my last GTX 480.

The price drops it lower than the newer GTX 760, a bit more than the 7950 and a bit less than the 7970. It also includes Batman Arkham Origins which should be a big hit this fall and another PhysX showcase title for those interested in that feature.

Coming from 480s myself which performed similarly to the 570, you'd probably be in for ~40% improvement with all the driver updates (580 to 680 was about 35% improvement at launch).

Another big improvement however is the reduction in temps, power draw, and fan noise. I noticed a significant difference in ambient room temps after moving off 480 SLI to 670 SLI.

Yeah that's too bad, when I bought my SLI cards last year it allowed for 2 cards on the same submission, both of which were honored. HardOCP has a Galaxy Rep that is active there, you could try PM'ing him to see if there's anything they can do.

I have an Asus 670GTX that runs 1440p just fine with pretty much everything maxxed out.

Yeah I agree, I think as long as you didn't try to push really high levels of AA a single 670 should be able to max out most games even at 1440p with good playable framerates. If you really like to crank up AA (higher than 4xMSAA or even SSAA), you will probably want something with more VRAM like a 4GB edition, 7950/7970, or GTX 780. I would probably go with something like a 780 before I went for 2x670 at a higher resolution like 2560x1440 due to VRAM limitations.
