GIGABYTE GeForce GT 1030 DirectX 12 GV-N1030OC-2GI 2GB 64-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express x16 Video Card $88.99
+ $10 off w/ promo code 93XPW27, limited offer

You might be better off looking for a (refurb) GTX 1650 4GB D5 card for $120 or so, if you need a "real" gaming card at the lower-end. But if you need single-slot (and they DO make half-height single-slot GDDR5 variants of the GT 1030 too, some passive as well), then the GT 1030 is your cup of tea.

This model has HDMI and DVI output. No DisplayPort, which basically also means no G-Sync/G-Sync Compatible support, no matter what the marketing blurb for the card might say.

But if you've got a semi-recent OEM PC that you bought at a store 5 years ago, you just might be able to get Little Jonnie to be able to play Fortnite on it, if you add one of these cards.

Looking up lower end builds and oem shelf machines the past week has really reminded how bad the low end of the gpu market has gotten. Same ol' I guess. For decent performance you're looking at $150 new. No more good deals on polaris cards either, maybe used.

Yeah, you are looking at a RX 460 4GB @ ~$70 on eBay.

RX 470 for much more oomph but needing a solid PSU starting around $80 through $100 is till probably the best bang for the buck gaming card available.

That is what I paid about a year ago for a HP pull, still suits my needs, but that was limited to wow, poe, and mushroom wars.

Fist bump for getting a decent card at a decent price. I know, I managed to get a HP pull about two freaking years ago for $62 shipped. Woohoo. Then exactly a year ago I got a BNIB 4GB 460 for my work PC for $65. Man I hope these new releases (Ampere & RNDA2) really end up being full stack or at least push some value into the lower price brackets so some of these used cards will drop in value. I really like the idea of those lower power (usage) cards as they play so nice in so many systems.

Also pulled the trigger on a buy it now for a guy selling 2x GTX 950 cards for $60 shipped on eBay. They've worked really well for having an add in card that is capable of basic 1080p game play.

I managed to get a GTX 970 for $50 as part of a bundle in a FS/FT here too. Still runs plenty of games just fine, just sorta noisy and generates a lot heat for the performance these days. With how many of those sold and their issues with 4GB buffers that seems like a reasonable price these days to me. But clearly the market thinks otherwise.

Such stagnation in the 2nd hand market. Let's go.

When I built my current rig about 7 years ago, I had to give up my 9500 Pro AGP card because AGP slots had just been superceded by the new fangled PCIe
Anywho, haven't had a decent vid card since. Fortunately I haven't done much PC gaming either but the HD 4000 graphics are starting to show their ancient age as well. It would be nice to have cheap card to throw in this for my wife so I can save most of my cash for MY new rig
