for those in TX you have sales tax. If you search on tigerdirect its the same price and no sale tax for TX.

Just notice the BCB is only 8.2 for tigerdirect while BB is 12.5

I bought one. I almost bought 2; was going to flip the second onto eBay for $300. Same goes for that 920/930 deal at microcenter. Decided it wasn't worth the hassle.

Given that I watched an Asus 5850 close at 0 bids @ $199.99 ($10 shipping) the other day... I think you made a good decision.

Certainly is one heck of a deal, but wouldn't it be worth the extra $60-$80 to wait for an XFX or one of the brands with a solid warranty? If you have just *one* of them burn out on you, it has more than paid itself off right there. Probably less risk with as little power as these draw, especially if you don't OC it, but...

Hmmm...I don't know if I should order this or wait to see what happens once Fermi comes out. I plan to drop around $250 on a card within the next month.

They bumped up the price to 269.99 now. Hopefully more of these 5850 and 5870 start coming down to their MSRPs. That would make them a lot more attractive to quite a few people.

Nope. It's built by Althon Micro, AKA: Sapphire Technologies. They are ATI's OEM.

Between this and sending the wrong model of 4890s a few weeks ago, I'm starting to lose faith in Tiger Direct, et al.
