Can one recommend an excellent hosting site that offers ASP? Looking for $20 or less per month, 200-1gb of storage, and 3-10gb of transfer.

Thanks!

Just signed up with hostpc.

Initial impressions-

1st call I got the 'leave a message', which I expected considering time of day.
I called a little later and actually got to speak with someone on the phone who answered all my questions.
It seems that the Tidalwave promotion has all the benefits including Installatron features added for no extra cost.

After signing up I recieved instant confirmation along with full instructions on how to log in and transfer data until your dns resolves

Instructions for every aspect of your account can be easily obtained.

Direct Admin
Very fast and easy to use.

Forums
Filled with useful information. Seems like people from Hostpc are bending over backwards to help.

All in all a very positive experience.

Hey Ross, looks like E-RICE's Value Plan is back up to $14.99.

According to their forums, they are going to have some sort of promo going on for existing customers only, on the site's second birthday, 08/08/04.

Good to see you, and thanks for the 4-1-1 on cheap hosting services!

I've had good luck with 'asmallorange.com' webhosting. They are super nice and answer all my questions. I've got their cheapest plan @ 30$ a year, but it has unlimited use of multiple sql, email accounts etc. I only have 75 megs space + 3 gigs transfer though (which is fine for my purposes). I thing 400 megs / 10 gigs transfer is 5$ a month.

I tried a couple before I decided on them.

Indeed, ASO has received some good praise.

Hey Rossman,

Any other Windows hosts that you know of? The link you send shows that the account for 75host.com is disabled and his site is not resolving. I was talking to him and got a decent quote, but the disabled account on WHT concerns me.

FluidHosting.com is one of the better Windows web hosts, but they aren't cheap. Please send a PM to fellow AT'er Adul on this forum, he has been a happy FH customer for several months.

In terms of "budget" reputable Windows web hosts, they really don't exist.

I've used discountasp.net without much problems. I used them because they have asp.net 1.1 and automatic ASP.net starter kit installs. DBs cost extra from the $10/mo price.

Another vote for HostPC...i've been with them for a few months now, and they usually respond to my emails within a couple of hours, if not faster. I've also had no problems with servers being down, slowdowns, etc...and response has always been knowledgeable and courteous. I've recommended them before, and would definitely do it again.

Now, hopefully they'll still let us stack a new plan over an existing one...

-Dave.

Payment was not successful, you can try again by resubmitting. Please verify your credit card data.
I keep getting that when I try and submit maybe I'll try tomorrow.

Question for RossMan and other longtime HostPC users.

Do you use your hostpc domain as your PRIMARY email address?

I currently have hosting elsewhere but after occasional downtimes, I've been forced to use my TW/RR account for my most important emails so I don't lose any. I'm just curious if HostPC meets the uptime level to where you guys will trust all of your email to their servers.

Thanks
