I ordered one earlier to try out, seems like a great bang for the buck case.

Looks like another Antec 902 clone for cheaper than an Antec 300. Nice!

Wow, looks like a lot of case for the money. I REALLY wish I needed another computer case, but alas, I have two still sitting in the attic.

One thing i've always wanted to ask. Why do they put so many 5.25" external drive slots in these "gaming case"? What do gamers load these up with? I rarely use my DVD rom and I think people are moving towards SSD. Even if they are sticking to HDD, why would anyone need 3-4 of those. It's befuddling.

And what do you propose they put there instead?

you can get converters to put HDD's in, and media readers, additional USB, Fan Controllers, Watercooling gear....

they guve us the biggest bays because you can always get kits to put smaller devices in larger bays, but not the other way around

You can always choose other cases. For instance, Lian Li PC-8FI has six HDD bays with two 120mm fans in front of them, and only three 5¼" bays.

*BUMP*

I got mine. Yeah, makes for a nice spare. Anyways, my first thought when picking it up was... wow, did they send an empty box? I guess I'm too used to heavy cases these days. Seriously though, it is really light. They did a good job at making it feel somewhat sturdy, however.

It looks pretty decent, black inside/out with plenty of mesh. Heck, the side panel opening is all mesh, not a side window.

The drive bays are seriously an Antec 900 clone, but unfortunately they just use one 3½" rack instead of the two that Antec includes. This one rack takes up three bays and gives three drive bays, and has a 120mm fan in front. That means the front of this case only has a single 120mm. The front pieces are mesh with a foam backing for filtering. Decent, except the foam is pretty dense, though thin. I think it will hinder air flow. The TOP of the case (the plastic fan holder) also has this foam, which is retarded because why would you want a filter on the OUTSIDE of the exhaust? Yes, fan was oriented as exhaust, which is normal for fans in these positions. Those are the only two included fans.

The top fan holder doesn't quite look like a second fan will clip in. There is space for it, but there are only clips on one side. Huh? Now, if they only had the foresight to add another inch or so to the top, then a rad could fit. So close, yet so far away.

The rear can hold another 120mm fan. The 7 expansion slots has the screw part sticking out so you screw in the cards on the outside of the case similar to a few other cases. There are two punch-outs for water cooling tubes.

The feet are the typical plastic with push pin in the middle, however they are rather tall so there is airflow from the bottom of the case. Why? Because the PSU can be oriented to face either way, plus there is an additional fan spot (if your PSU doesn't cover it). Interesting to note that the fan spot plus PSU vent have filters which is just a plastic screen/mesh material. It will let more air in, as well as more dust. I think it is a better trade-off versus the foam stuff elsewhere in the case which just about blocks all air. Maybe.
