Cool - what's your ship date?Originally posted by: scrubman
ok, i got my code and ordered my 20" LCD yeah baby!! it came to $765 total including tax and shipping... brand new from DELL... i call this a scorcher of a deal!!
Happened to me when I first got it.. then I realized I was not running it at native resolution .. once I did that .. the text was razor sharp .. very nice monitor ..$404/tax - Dell Ultrasharp 1800 FP - Analog, DVI, 30ms - Some threads mentioned fuzzy text.
You should be fine, considering SC4 is already laggyOriginally posted by: CKDragon
Does response time affect all games or mostly just FPS? I play quite a few Real-Time strategies and slower simulations like Sim City 4.
Any advice would be extremely helpful, thanks.

Order status just changed to "shipped".Originally posted by: MegaNerd...Anyway, I snagged a coupon on f@tw@llet and snapped up a monitor. Projected ship date is the 16th, but hopefully it will be sooner than that.

I'm currently running 1024 x 768, but expect to step up to 1280 x 1024 since that is the native resolution of the 18 incher.Originally posted by: optimistic Ah, ok thanks. Just making sure that's what the majority of the people were running, because I heard some do at 800x600.

I'm crossing my fingers for you. I figured it would be a slow ship since they are no doubt getting hammered with orders. But maybe there is a warehouse in Austin just chock full of these suckers......Originally posted by: grant2
Let's hope mine ships within 3 hours too

Has anyone checked if this can be combined with the stackable $40 off $350 coupon that surfaced today? Would make it even better. Great monitor btw

I'm going to go crazy!
I've been hunting for a good LCD for my daughter in college. An absolute priority is good text quality. I've been disappointed with the cheap LCDs (returned a 17" Sylvania). The more expensive LCDs are better but not great. So hear are my Dell Small Business choices:
$404/tax - Dell Ultrasharp 1800 FP - Analog, DVI, 30ms - Some threads mentioned fuzzy text.
$452/tax - NEC 1760NX - Analog, DVI, 16ms - Good reviews, text looks good, but expensive
$401/tax - Sharp LL-T17A3B - analog, 20ms - Recent editors choice.
What to do, what to do?
