Crap. The "4-5 day" that was there when I ordered it is looking to be "It'll get delivered after you go out of town for 5 days in two weeks"

I call to try and manage to get shipping bumped upto 2nd day in an attempt to get it in before I leave for LA. I just sold my RCA MP3 player to a coworker. I check my email:
"We have reviewed your order. Although we had anticipated being able to ship
your order sooner,
we are experiencing an unexpected delay with your order and will not be able to
ship this order and any associated orders until on or before 12-01-2004."

So now I have an MP3 player w/ no memory because it's not compatible w/ my Sandisk flash drive (no suprize here). And I'll have to pray that the rebate deal above comes through. Poop.

Yup, 4-5 days is up to 2 months for me too. I got this useless MP3 player attachment, and I sold my old MP3 player last friday.

It's $96.40 now. Looks like they screwed up and then decided not to order any for a few months to resolve their problem.

Yeah, I am trying to decide on that too, $41.60 for a 1gb isn't bad, Dell said they would credit the $20 rebate once I receive the jumpdrive.

After talking to Dell, they told me I was SOL on the rebate deal. They saw it coming too. Hopefully the 512MB drive from Amazon comes through, though it's not happening without it's own oddities.

I also got my shipping confirmation. Shipped on the 14th. I talked to dell earlier when I had to respond to keep my order, and they said if the rebate expired then they would pick it up since they were out of stock.

They had sent me an email saying they'd cancel the order on the 1st, yet they still shipped today.. duh them!

They charged my $61.16 - but the $20 rebate expired, if I recall. Anyone have a copy of that rebate perchance? I was going to try and call a CSR and see if they'll honour the rebate.

I may keep it if they do, otherwise...... it's going back.

Must be postmarked within 30 days of purchase date, of course I bought it 11/8.

Mine arrived 12/13 which is past 30 days. So I'll be doing a RETURN TO SENDER since the $20 rebate is no longer valid.

Too late, already instructed my mailbox place to do a return to sender.

DHL is shipping it back to Dell, free of charge

I received my drive on Thursday. I contacted Dell about the rebate and got $20 credited back to me. After arguing with Dell CSRs about similar rebates in the past, its nice to see them taking responsibility for this one.

My email said " Please allow 10 to 15 business days for credit to be issued."

It has been 10 days but I can see that nothing has been returned yet when checking my online banking.

I also managed to get the coupon for $35. It does not require a minimum purchase, so something for exactly $35 would be free. It is good until the February 28.

I received my drive on Dec 15 even though it was not scheduled to be sent until Jan 4th.

Has anyone gotten their rebate and for what amount? Lexar is refusing to honor the $30 amount on the rebate form.
