I ordered two of these, and have not heard back from them yet with a cancellation. Crossing my fingers.

Ordered one for $40.29 + $ 7 shipping. Order Status says back ordered. Now sells for $ 79.80. :|

Ordered one last night, then emailed them to cancel. My CC has a temp. authorization of $40.21 and my order status says:

ORDER STATUS : ITEM(S) BACKORDERED / PARTIALLY SHIPPED .

Hmmm....I never got an order cancellation confirmation either. Wonder if they'll honor this.

Just called and talked to a CSR about this. I told him that when I ordered it was in stock but the shipping calculator wasn't working and I never received a confirmation email. The CSR asked if I wanted to cancell or wait until they received the processor in stock. I said I'd wait and asked what the shipping would be. He said $6 ground and added it to my order. I never mentioned the "price" and neither did he so I think they are going to honor this.

My order still says: ORDER STATUS : ITEM(S) BACKORDERED / PARTIALLY SHIPPED

and my CC has a temp charge of $40.29 placed on it. My order now shows $46.29 including shipping.

Do you think the longer we wait, the better our chance of getting a "B" stepping processor?

Probably, or when the price goes down to $40.29. No temporary charge on my CC. They could delay shipping this out till we give up and cancel. :disgust:

I still haven't received an email or call from NexGen regarding my order. I just checked online and it also says backordered/partially shipped. What part of the order was partially shipped though?

I'm going to keep it open and see what happens. Of course, I don't want the chips once the price comes down to $40 for the retail 1800+. I'm willing to give it a little time though.

BTW.. I paid for it with my PayPal MC. I like using this card not only for the cash back bonus, but because it gives me some decent information on my charges. So far, the charge on my card is still in "pending" status. It hasn't been charged to my credit card yet, but the funds aren't available to me at this time. I don't really need that money right now anyway, so it's not a big deal. I'm not being charged interest on it or anything.

I too placed this order and got the backordered email. But I went to go check my 'Order Status' today, and my order is NOT there anymore!! I didn't even get an email stating that if it was cancelled or price mistake. And they have this cpu IN STOCK now but for $73.

But they havent charged me for it.

My order has disapeared, too, but the Boxed processor is still listed as backordered and priced at $78.92.

And I have received a backorder notice from them about every three days and the last notice came on Tuesday, 2-4-03!

I had sent them an email 10 days ago informing them to keep my order open and remailed it to them tonight with an added note about sending it to me. I checked my account and they had cleared my history....this is getting interesting (and I really do not need it but now I want it!).

I'm in the same situation. Been getting Back Order Notification e-mails from them 1/23, 1/28, 1/30, 2/1 and 2/4. Thinking of sending them this e-mail.

I've noticed that this product is back in stock.

I was under the impression that I was to be notified of its availabilty and shipped immediately. This was repeated in your Back Order Notication dated 1/23. 1/28, 1/30. 2/1 and 2/4/2003.

Also checked that order status has conveniently disappeared/deleted in your website. I don't remember canceling this order #.

I would like this matter resolved as soon as possible. Attached is a saved html file of my order.

I sent this back on the 6th when my order first "disappeared":

Dear Next Generation:
I have been eagerly awaiting you to receive more stock on the processor I ordered. It seems strange to me every other vendor has this in stock but you. I do appreciate your continued notices informing me that you are trying to get this in stock and will honor the order when received as stated in your email:

"We will hold your order open until we get the product(s) in stock at which time we will notify you and ship it right away."

Today, however, when I checked your site, my order was not listed. Will you please give me an update as to when this order may be fulfilled?
