Pricing error? Wonder if they will ship these <$50 chips, or will it be a waste of time to order one. Nutrend wants $70 shipped for the retail 1800XP.

This must be a price mistake. If you look at there list of cpu,s there oem 1800+ is $64.66
But then there oem 1700+ is $1.50 more then there Retail Boxed 1700+
there a little screwed up I think.
I have an AZ11E motherboard and the 1800+ Palamino is the fastest cpu it will take I might go for it. Have a athlon 900 now.
They have a pretty good reseller rating. 7.08

A cpu is the main componant in your computer, the Brain so to speak c.p.u stands for Central Prossesing Unit. Youve probably heard of Pentiums thease are cpu.s made by Intel We are talking about cpu,s made by a company called AMD.
sounds like your on a new learning adventure. lots of info on thease forums and the web.
A cpu connects to the Motherboard and is only one componant of many that make up a PC.

This is just a small part of a computer system. You would also need: a case, main system board, power supply, memory, video card, keyboard, mouse, monitor, software, hard drives, cd-rom drive etc., plus the ability to put the system together. I suggest that you look for a good deal on a ready-to-use Dell system.

You did not get a shipping fee b/c shipping quotes are not available to some areas. I placed an order and then found out that I wasn't charged shipping as well. I think the reps will contact you and make shipping arrangements. It may be about $10 or so. Not worth it to me. This deal will probably get cold quick. Think about it before you place an order and save yourself some time.

shipping charges cant even be calculated with the shipping calculator dont be supprised to be billed for them later. sometimes thats in the fine print!... who knows good luck though i think ill hold off and order one with my nforce2 when i decide on which to get

When I ordered my Denon receiver from NXGen, the shipping was only $11.00. I'm sure that if NXGen applies shipping charges, they will be quite minimal. However, I recently was burned by their return policy. Buy from NXGen with caution.
