This unbelievable deal just keeps getting hotter.
I just hope they don't drive Sprint into receivership. I'm paying half of what my T-mobile phone was costing.

Oh Man, The perfered customer flyer worked ! I got $5 off my bill on my Sprint Samsung a920....and my account was just activated 3 days ago.
Awsome phone: awsome plan.

Has anyone tried a 1gig transflash card? Will it work with the Samsung a920?

Are there any ways to get this $30 plan without paying for a phone? I'd like the cheap service without the expensive phone costs.

Thanks!

Under the information for the $200 phone is a link that says, "More Sprint PCS Phones." Click it.

Question about the instant messaging with this Sprint deal. The offer says AOL, MSN, and Yahoo instant messaging is unlimited. In the A920, you perform instant messaging and web messaging. The instant messaging is provided by Java apps. There are three options: AOL, MSN, and Yahoo. The web messaging is a crude interface to web version of instant messaging where you have to fetch messages sent to you. If you exit your internet connection, it automatically signs you out.

Is the unlimited messaging offer with this plan mean the more sophisticated and really instant messaging of the Java applications or the crappy web interfaces? I was under the impression it would be the java applications. Allowing accessing to a web application is not really "unlimited AOL, MSN, and Yahoo messaging" because that could be any other service too. It doesn't seem a coincidence the offer is for unlimited AOL, MSN, and Yhhoo and that happens to be three Java app services offered.

My local Sprint store is telling the web messaging is what is meant by unlimited e-mail. Any get the Java apps for free and added to the plan? If so, what is the name of the customer representative you talked to so I can get my plan fixed?

TIA!

Can anyone PM me an email address so I can get in and check this out? Thinking about dumping my current plan for $47 including taxes and getting this $30 (-$5) plan with a better phone. It's worth the $150 termination fee.

A few people over at SU have run 1GB microSD cards on the 920 and have stated that it works fine for them. I haven't tried it yet myself since finding such a card is still a bit of a challenge for someone who likes to shop B&M. Outpost has the 1GB card for $50.99 but it isn't in stock, and Fry's has it in store for like $70+. I've just been making do (without any issue) with my 512MB one from CircuitCity that I paid too much for ($50.)

Oh, and A920 ftw!

I signed up through the web site, and my receipt shows SERO 500 plan.
However, when I access my plan details through the website or through the phone itself (A900) it shows as a Fair & Flexible plan. I called a CSR because I was worried and she said it was a SERO plan, but I hardly trust her. Can anyone confirm?

My plan also shows up as the "Fair and Flexible" plan in billing, but I called and reviewed the plan line-by-line with Sprint to verify that I received the same coverage & price as the SERO plan I agreed on at the time of purchase.

If you have any doubts about what your plan does & does not include, I suggest you do the same.

For all you folks asking for PM's of sprint email addr's to get SERO, please stop. If you just go back and read the thread a bit, you'll see at least two posted that still work.

On another note, I read on SD that sprint is getting wise to the 10%/$5 off 'preferred customer' discount with some folks. If you want to get it, better try soon (possibly with more than one CSR). Don't forget to also ask for your company/school affiliation discount too, just in case they have one that can be applied.

When you login to your account at sprintpcs.com, select 'My Invoice and Payments', 'Invoices', and then 'Charges by Line' to see the minutes included in the plan (should be 0-500).

He's right folks. And, I'm gonna capitalize on it again.
This thread gets my vote for the hottest, as it is saving me $50/month for the foreseeable future (two lines)...$600/year & is even better than finding buried treasure in the back yard.
As far as finding the name, etc. of a Sprint persona, shucks even I listed one that works.
Just look for the pretty avatar.

Also anyone know if I could bluetooth to one on the sprint phones with a cingular pda phone to use the free internet?

No, Phone-As-Modem (PAM) tethering is NOT allowed per the SERO Plan, and unfortunatly you cannot add the PAM plan ($40/month unlimited) to your SERO plan. There may be ways around this but not "legally" and if you get caught its $.02/kb or something so overages could be HUGE.

Did anyone realize that
jim.smith is not only the most common name in the English language?
Apparently, one of them even works @ Sprint!
