Ordered service last night, using email previously listed in thread, and my phone shipped this AM. Very fast and great plan

Ugh, my mom cancelled my order when she started freaking out because of the safety deposit. The a920 was 120, but when I reordered it was 150. <_<

Oh well, even if it was the same price as the a900 I would still get this phone. Hot deal too. I went ahead and tried to call about the five dollars off, its a shot in the dark. Unfortunately, when I called they didn't have any info on my account.. Gonna try to ask them tomorrow. And I'll try to get the unlimited text messages by fake cancelling. I know I'm a bastage.

Can't wait to stream stuff from Orb to my phone. And stream my shoutcast internet radio links.

The A900 looks very slick, but it doesn't have an upgradeable memory slot and I heard the battery life sucks. Not sure if the A900 has stereo speakers too, but I think this is a nice plus for the a920. If this doesn't bother you, then you should go for it.

Oh btw, for any a920 users out there, can you assign mp3 files to a ringer id? Or do they have to be like aac?

Bahhhh, I'm getting so confused reading all these posts. I am getting jipped big time by Sprint... I am paying $35 (plan) + $15 (vision) + $8 (sms) + $6 (equip replacement).

How can I switch my plan I have right now to this plan that is listed? I wanna keep my phone, my number, etc. Is thissss possible? Sounds like everyone here is getting *new* plans with phone and everything.

easiest way would be to cancel your account and get a new line. but i bet if you're out of contract and call retentions, you could probably keep your number and get SERO if you play your cards right. if you have to, let Sprint know that another carrier is offering a plan very similar to SERO with free text messaging if you switch WITH your number. it might take a few calls to get what you want, but other people have done this and kept their number.

I am very interested in the PCC-6700. My priorities are phone functionality, and checking my eBay listings. It appears to me that the Treo 650 has no edvo, and the 700p has no wifi, and probably will not be offered for SERO (but both are more usable as a phone, and more stable). I have not had a chance to use either one. Anyone who can compare the phones, or has real world experience using them for those tasks, please advise. I have read reviews, but would like input from someone with real world experience. I have been able to use an A920, but on-phone internet functionality was inadequate.
Any advice appreciated
Thanks

here's my advice. wait. new phones are being released today. not sure if the SERO site is going to get them, but they are releasing a new Blackberry that might fit your needs. i'd give it about a week to see if Inphonic gets them, or you could call and ask.

why is wifi so important to you? the plan comes with unlimited data usage.

A900 comes with stereo capability built-in.
Stereo speakers on the front if you're using it in speaker phone mode. Package includes stereo ear-buds, also.
Yes, I have to charge it at least EOD and I try and use the car charger whenever I'm driving. Battery life is not so bad, however, it is rather limited. It won't go several days like some phones I've had. But then, nothing else ever had the power and capability that the A900 has. Overall, top ranked.

PS I've had a terrible time finding the Samsung A900 PC software for this phone...
...finally located it here!

When porting your phone number, and when you order from the inphonic website (sprint.com/SERO), is the number ported immediately after placing the order online, or when you activate the phone when you receive it a few days later?

Question for those that ordered from the sprint.com/SERO website and Ported their Phone Number from another carrier:

Did you lose phone access for the few days before you got the SERO plan Phone?

I'm pretty sure it's standard practice that you lose service for a few days when you do porting over.

I signed up for the SERO plan directly from a Sprint store. I wouldn't even make any phone calls with your new Sprint phone until it's fully ported over. Took mine about 2-3 days.

Their 2-day shipping is more like 7-day shipping. Still haven't gotten my phone and I ordered last week.

I had just changed my plan recently, a few days ago actually (5/31), to a 29.99 fair and flexible plan (since my other plan expired after 2 years). Can I cancel this and change to SERO? I was searching through this thread and didn't find the info i needed. Alright, if anybody can help, thanks.

Did you port your number from your previous phone?
If so, did your old phone stop working after you placed your order online, or did the porting happen after you received your SERO phone?

Guys it looks like you can go with either sprint or nextel. Does it really matter any more with coverage since sprint bought out nextel? Dont' they use the same towers?

I didn't port over a #, but it states for you to not cancel your current subscription until your number has been transferred over to the new service. How long that takes I'm not certain though.

I'm not really sure. I went with Sprint but I believe they are the same now aren't they?

Well, I ended up getting a Sprint Rep at Best Buy to sign my wife up for the SERO deal. I did the same thing before. The A900 is $99 now at Best Buy, so it's a better sale than Inphonic's.

Despite the splash page mentioning $30/month plan, the only plan that is selectable is $99/mo 1000 minutes...
