sprint reception is usually great for me. If sprint goes out of range it roams on the verizon network. In fact I read on othe rforums that you can set your phone to always roam and at no charge for sero customers.
I wouldn't do that, Sprint has cancelled customers that roam more than 50% of their minutes,,,
I searched about that as well, since my girlfriend (who just joined SERO) has coverage issue with Sprint's native network. She has to roam at her home in order to receive the reception. So, I did research what we should do (Cancel when we can, or just set it Roam only mode), and we decided to stick with Roam Only mode after searching the web.
Even if Sprint decides to cancel the service, they actually mail you a letter indicating the cancellation, give about a month to look for new service & port number, and waive ETF since they cancel the service, not customer. Most of case, they don't require you to return the handset either if reasonable period of time has passed after sign-up. So, it's like "nothing to lose, why don't you try?" Only bad thing is that you cannot enjoy SERO, but no additional penalty/fee to pay.
