From what I understand, Power Vision and Vision depends on the phone you open the plan with. Since you got an A900 like me, you have power vision which means you can access the EVDO network. The network is actually pretty fast and even faster than my girlfriend's treo on the verizon network.

You do get unlimited web access with the plan, and which "vision" network you're on depends on the phone you signed up with.

I started with the Samsung A900, and my plan says the following:

"? Unlimited Vision Access"

EVDO worked fine.

I now have the PPC-6700 and EVDO works as well.

Has anyone had their plan listed online as saying "Unlimited Power Vision"?

Mine says unlimited vision as well. Power vision is the ability to access all the media that sprint has available. I.E. a non-power vision phone can still have unlimited web, but they can't access power vision options like streaming TV and all that stuff.

If you want access to the channels, games, music, ets you still need to pay a subscription fee. The main point as before is that the ability to access Power Vision depends on your phone.

Hi guys, been a lurker for long time now and just read this deal. Ive been with sprint for a good 3 years+ and was wondering if there were any employee that wouldnt mind pm'in me for referral. Other then that I guess Id have to check if its good in Conencitcut. I tried to check for deals with my zip and it said sprint service wasnt available in my area, which cant be right obviously.

Actually, you are probably in an affiliate area not a "true" sprint owned area.

Ah well thought it might not be right. I gave it a go with the smith email, but it said it couldtn do the sero. It then asked me to check my area codes for other discount offers, thats when it said there was no Sprint service available for my area. Just thought that was weird sense I had Sprint for years.

ok, so i bought the audiovox 6700 from the sprint store with a regular 2-yr contract, went home, called the 877 # provided in this thread, and asked to be switched to a SERO plan. Funny thing, everyone I got a hold of knew of the SERO plan. I was set up on it, with equipment insurance, and 6pm as additional features and was able to keep my discount from 3 yrs ago when I was working for CITIgroup (i just heard it's 27%, it was 25% then)

so i'm pretty stoked. called back and checked on the plan like 25 times and everyone confirmed that i have a SERO plan (part of the SKU said SERO)

i'm pretty lucky i guess. one thing i have a problem getting tho is the txt msg. a few reps tried to add it for me and said it was done but when i callled again it wasn't on my account; some reps just said it couldn't be done with this plan, and a couple said unlilmited txt is included in the SERO plan. everyone seems to have a different answer to this. any idea?

Thanks!

Ok i got a question. I already had sprint for 4 months now, i have the samsung a900 and i want this SERO plan which comes out to be cheaper than my current plan. Is it possible for me to just order a free phone from the SERO plan and just transfer the phone # to my a900 phone after i cancel the account. Any help would be appreciated it.

You would have to pay the termination fee of ~$200 and possibly the rest of the cost of your phone that you got when you signed the contract. Some providers are different.

I read sprint's terms of agreement, early termination is $150 and it doesn't look like i have to pay more money for the phone i already bought. I just wonder if it would be a problem if i cancelled my account and made a new one with the SERO plan.

for the record I called them about why it said UNLIMITED VISION when the SERO plan indicated power vision, and they said that power vision was included.

If you order a newer EV-DO phone you get unlimited "Power Vision".
If you order a regular internet-capable phone (CDMA 1x) get unlimited "Vision".

"Power Vision" is much faster than "Vision", but requires an both an EV-DO capable phone and an enhanced EV-DO coverage area to use. The Sprint SERO plan will give you unlimited access to either "Vision" or "Power Vision" depending on the phone you decide to purchase.

I ordered it with a Samsung A900 originally, which is a Power Vision phone, but my plan detail still says "Unlimited Vision".

Does anyone see their plan details saying "Unlimited Power Vision" ?

Of course, I still have Power Vision access.

No one sees "Unlimited Power Vision" spelled out in their plan. "Unlimited Vision Access" covers it all.

Somewhere in the middle of these posts are a couple of Sprint folks who said to either e-mail or PM them. That's the way I got it on one occasion.
Of course, if there happens to be a Jim Smith @ Sprint and you know how to string an e-mail address together...which worked on another occasion.
Funny about that. Jim used to be the most common name in the English language and Smith still is.
Other than that, if I could remember the A/T userIDs or any other info from their posts, I would restate it here.

Ordered w/ the link from a previous page and used Steve Smith as a referral w/out problems. Got the Sam A900 - the free web access sounds cool, love the slim design. Battery life probably sucks, but I'm used to only getting one day on my current phone, so no big deal there. Phone shipped out today, I'll have it Friday and report back.
