A900 will last about one day with moderate to light use, depending on reception. But most likely a single charge will not last one day. It barely made it for one day with me.

Since I didn't get any legit referals offered to me I just decided to print the plan and take it down to the sprint store hoping to find a helpful employee. I got lucky on my first try and the guy that helped me out told me he was the only one in the store that knew about the plan. He gave me his card, I ordered the A900 and it should be here Friday as well. Can't wait!

Wow. Well, I don't talk on the phone much, or for long. My current Motorola has gotten so bad it will last only one day even w/out talking, so I'm used to living near a charger (have an extra standard charger in the truck in case I need it at work/friends). I'm shocked the A900 ships w/ such poor batt life, but that's the price you pay for slimness I guess. I guess I'll buy a car charger and an extra wall charger for travel.

Too bad they don't make a seperate battery charger, you could get an extra battery (sub $20 online) and keep a charged spare w/ you.

ScottAIS: good job on the referral. Couldn't they hook you up w/ a phone there in the store? Or did you have to go thru the web site/online ordering as well?

If you check the fine print on the website, it's suppose to be online only deal, but some people have managed to trick some employees into signing them up through other means.

I tried a real sprint employee email address of a person I know (just out of curiosity) and it still didn't work, so don't bet on it working even if you have a real person's address.

Unless it's a bug they are going to fix (doubtful), this deal is now a YMMV.

Definately an online deal only. The employee who helped me out couldn't do a thing for me in the store other than give me his business card with an email address. Believe it or not I already recieved my phone! I can't believe it was here the day after I ordered it.

Here's something to note however, when I placed my order I noticed my address was not listed correctly on the invoice, so I called in to correct it. I spoke to an Indian guy (dot not feather) and I he corrected that address and went through the motions to activate my phone. He called me back a twice and on the last call notified my that my phone was activated and shipping. The strange thing is I have yet to receive an email notification from the order I placed, ship notifiaction etc. I was able to track it online but never got an email which I found strange. Anyway, paperwork shows the SERO plan and so far the phone works like a champ!

Read through the thread, there are many many people who have gotten the deal without using the sprint.com/SERO website. I got mine through Best Buy.

But it seems the online method is dead for now, since even valid email addresses are being rejected.

I can confirm, the online deal is dead even with a completely valid email that I know for a fact has only done 2 referrals.

Yeah, it's back up. But it only works with valid e-mails. I don't think they had the actual site checking the e-mails ahead of time before. They must have just fixed it yesterday, which explains the downtime.

Just got my A900, charging now. My number hasn't ported yet, the phone is still showing a 000-000-0502 'temp' number until my old Cingluar number transfers over. So far it seems to be pretty d@mn sweet phone though!

charles.x.huang@sprint.com still works, just tried it. This guy posted in the original sl*ckdeals thread a while back saying to use his address for referrals. Samsung A900 comes up as $199 for me and the only free phone right now is another Samsung.
