Thanks for that link, now if you can give me one where I can easily compare the phones offered, I'll be all set (was planning the samsung 900 but noticed a lot of b*tching on amazon reviews, so now looking at the fusion one) ;-)

If I knew of such a resource I would pass it along, but I didn't find one when I was researching (and ultimately selecting 700wx).

Uh, this thread or a different one? The first post of this thread is a little limited on info.

Yesterday I called Sprint at 9:02am to bump up to the next higher plan. Hmmm, disconnected at the first voice prompt. I called again, made it to where I could finally say "Operator", and was again disconnected. I called again, made it through Operator to being on hold, and was again disconnected. I called again and made it through to holding for an Operator. I waited, and waited, and waited some more. At 10:12 I got to an Operator and immediately cancelled.

T-Mobile may be $20 more a month but it has never taken me more than two or three minutes to get through to an Operator.
This was a problem for me when I first signed up for this last January. I was told that they are growing faster than they can keep up, and that they would hire more help. Sure enough, next few times I called I got an answer pretty quick. Give them a chance, I think this plan is more than worth it. I work in IT and when things get slow I watch the NFL Network on my phone for free. My co-workers are quite jealous. I also surf on my phone a lot so I don't get called on the carpet for using the companies dime. They've no idea how much surfing I do because it's on my phone, and free! No other company can touch these plans, at least not where I live.

Just a note on the Samsung 900 - the phone they actually ship is the Samsung A900-M. Which has different software (and possibly some different hardware). Almost all of the whining about the 900 is about the first version of the phone - the "A900." My A900-M has been perfect so far - very happy with it, and I think $80 is a great deal for it.

i've been eyeing this plan for awhile, but was waiting for a slimmer smartphone. now, i've read that the Q will be out in mid-January, so I was wondering if its possible to sign up for a plan now (b4 the 12/31 expiration date), then return the phone for the Q before the 30 days is up.

is this possible? anyone had experience returning a phone and keeping the contract within 30 days?

for any reason if you unsatisified within your 30 day trial period Sprint will u sually do anything they can to make you happy. With that being said I've read places that iphonic will not take any phones back if theres more then 15 minutes use on them.

And I sincerly doubt this deal will end on 12/31 even tho thats what the fine print says.
they keep extending it cause it was supposed to expire in june 06.

i signed up through the link, got referral email on google and got my phones.

however, the inconic process was very difficult, had to live chat and phone call them several times just to get my order through, i think they have like two people working at inconic, i always got the same CSR. it took about 5 days before the order was sent to sprint and then another 2 days fedex to me.

in the end, i got my phones, but i had to cancel my old number, because the referral plan is for new lines only.

thanks, kindest. but i have this worry that they may actually cancel... just b/c they extended once doesn't necessarily mean they will extend again, right? decisions, decisions.

so, if i were to get a phone and then say i wasn't satisfied with it, will they let me return for another phone and keep the plan/number? or, will they simply terminate the contract and i'll have to return the phone?

any experience swapping a phone w/in 30 days and keeping the plan/number?

It would be a pain in the backside but my Verizon plan runs into May but I really want this plan so I'll get the plan before the end of the year and if they do extend it, I'll return everything, cancel, and wait until May...if they don't extend it, then I'll pay $120 extra for the 4 months of Verizon...

Inphonic, where the Sprint site links to, only has 14 days to return. I believe that the retail Sprint stores will let you exchange within 30 days, call or go to the nearest one and ask.

Finally got my #$^%#$ phone (treo 700wx) after ordering on Dec. 6th. Inphonic has next to NO cs, but if you whine enough, they might break and give you a $50 AMEX gift card...the 'managers' who sound just like the regular workers might have the authority to give out more.

A question to anyone else who just jumped on this recently...I happened to get my bill BEFORE I receieved my phone, and happened to notice that the plan charge is $31/mo and not $30. Did this happen to anyone else?

I'm also hoping those various rebates for the 700wx work out...next to free palm would ROCK.

i got my treo700wx back in november. my first bill was 35 bucks cause it was prorated a week or two... are you sure your not looking at taxes to make it 31? I sent my 3 rebates in and finally got an email this week saying at least one got approved. we will see what comes in the mail.

wow, my contract w/ another cell company ends the 30th, and now they said that I had to give a 30 day notice (wtf) and now it is officially canceled on Jan. 24th. Is there any way I can sign up for this deal now, port my number over (while still having service with my other company) to sprint and still have no problem with service?? I just dont want to chance missing this deal... thanks guys

for you guys on the bubble about getting this plan...get it. i just re-tried using Orb and the service is much better than it was with my first go-round with it in June. streaming recorded TV, live TV and all of my audio files to my phone is fantastic. of course you need a multimedia Power Vision phone and unlmited Power Vision to make it worthwhile. this plan fits the bill perfectly for only $35 a month(tax included). i'm happy.

Hello, you do the porting while still with another company. If you cancel first, then sign up and try to port over, you will LOSE your number. You should sign up before the 31st to make sure you get on this deal. I'm not sure what company you had, but with Cingular Blue (AT&T), we were out of contract, ported over, and cancelled old plan on the same day. I would call back and talk to a supervisor if I were you.

I wonder what will happen if I port my number over to sprint on the 30th, but still must have a service plan with my current company (cellular one) until Jan. 24th (contract ends Dec. 30th, but cell one said I must give 30 day notice before canceling) if that would screw anything up on cell one's side.
Basically, can I port my number over to sprint while still having old service active, but doing nothing with it.

OR other alternative, get in on this deal with W/E number, and then when Jan. 24th comes, port my old number over to this sprint service (don't know if they can even do this), and THEN cancel my old service

Thanks, just clarification

For the porting question: don't know if this will help, but I wanted to port my number from Verizon, so Sprint shipped a phone to me with a temporary number. For the past couple weeks I've still been using my Verizon phone/contract until I can get all the kinks worked out, though I've received a couple calls on this temporary number (?!? wrong numbers...).
Shouldn't be a problem, provided you talk to the CSRs. Loving the internet on this treo though..

NO troubles for me either...
Placed my order on Wednesday at 12:00pm (December 27th) got my phones this morning. I don't know whether or not my number has transferred or not....
Folks, I was paying $70-80.00 for one phone with 600 anytime minutes and 5 my favs, and Blackberry service, through Sprint PC, and now, I am paying $50.00 for just my phone. Now that is neat....I have all of that... plus 7:00pm free nights and weekends, and free Sprint mobile to mobile... that is awesome...just plain hands down awesome...
