This must be the longest and most read thread in Anand Hot Deal history. It was created 12/2005! Is there a thread larger and more read than this one?

Recently I went to a Sprint store to just see what the sales person would say about this deal and maybe giving me the deal at the store.

I asked what plans he had and then when he finished stating the known plans I asked about SERO. I also mentioned that I wanted to transfer my current number over.

He said that it's employees only. I told him it's online and stuff, he took me to sprint.com and said 'see it's not here' ... I told him I know the way and stuff and then he said that Sprint would see this and cancel the account immediately and I'd lose my number.

Hehe... I guess he wasn't going to give me a SERO deal at the store, so he tried to scare me away from the online deal to see him as the only way. I just walked out.

------Not on your life my Hindu friend!

Huh?

My wife had a normal Sprint plan and ported her number to SERO through the Web site. I ported my number from Sprint to ATT back to Sprint for the SERO plan.

You can transfer a number easily from another carrier. Just mention it as you sign up.

I went to a *brand new* Sprint B&M yesterday - the loser behind the counter wouldn't even get out of his chair. He asked if he could help us, but from all the way across the store. (The Treo's were by the front door).

I explained that we were interested in upgrading our phones and plans, and then asked if he had any Q's in stock, to which he rolled his eyes, and said, "Um, I think we're out" - I asked if he could check, as I would buy one today, and he just said he was pretty sure they were out. Never got out of his chair. So I asked about the Treo phones, and got the same answer. wtf??

I was dressed nice, just got back from work. Had my pretty wife and my two kids with me, so I couldn't have come across as a loser or anything that he was trying to avoid, so I don't know what his deal was. So, for the Sprint store on Culebra and 1604 in San Antonio. /rant

Also stopped by Wireless Toyz, the lady that owns the place knew of the program, but didn't have any good phones in stock either. She had the Treos and Q's for other carriers, but not for Sprint. Oh well. At least she was smart and treated us nice.

Does anyone know if Sprint employees get any kickbacks or benefits from referring people? Just curious. I'm sure it's in this monstrous thread somewhere. I'm calling Sprint in a bit, and letting them know what's up......

Are there extra fees for using blackberry devices? Using with full features of course...

Hi guys, make sure to add sprint to home (Not Sprint 50 home) to your plan. For $5 a month all the calls to your home number AND from your home number are not billable.

I then beat the system further by getting a voip company to call forward to my cell and bridge OUT from my cell. I bought the cheapest $29 plan plus the $5 for the Sprint to home and all my inbound and outbound are free.

You can do the bridge with an asterisk box and sipura 3000 , or go the fast cheap way and have the voip company do the bridge. I found one voice stickthat has a 2 cent a min plan (or$20 a month unlimited) has both call forward and web bridge

My Q shipped yesterday, and I was promised next day air shipping. When I saw the tracking number wasn't in fedex's system yet, I called and was told it was shipped TWO day air. When I called fedex arranging for them to hold my package for me to pick up, I was told it shipped GROUND. Sprint is going to hear about Inphonic's crap...

I selected the $5/month 300 text option, but in the Plan Overview in checkout, I don't see it!
Just wanted to make sure that you can in fact add a text plan... thanks

I didn't order it yet. But like you mentioned, I do hear on other forums it is quite easy to get 300, 500, or even unlimited text messaging with the right email/phonecall.
