Hi guys, please excuse the 'hook me up' post here. I'm currently at work and am at the end of my contract with T-Mobile. I would like to get in on this offer. I have read that users were able to get Treos for a great price, and I love my Treo650. I wouldn't mind a 750 but if all they have is the 700, then that's fine too. I would like to know:
-How can I get the best price (Referral, kellog (?) Rebate, sprint rebate).
-Can I use my Treo 700 WX as a "Bluetooth" modem and use my internet on my laptop, like I could with my Nokia 3650 (way oldskool).
-How fast the internet speeds are. T-Mobile uses GRPS (puke) which is soooo slow,
cingular and co. use EDGE which is MUCH nicer. Do you guys know which one sprint users?
-Do I have to pay anything additional to get my emails live pushed onto my Treo?
-Can Sprint just take away our free internet or make it much slower w/o us being able to cancel our contract?
Thanks in advance!

Tell them that you are trying out Sprint and you are not sure you want to keep it since your old plan from (insert company) had free txt messaging. Ask them if they could give you 500 txt/mo to keep you as a customer. Make sure you do this before you port your number over.Originally posted by: Dynamyck
Just signed up and got the Q. This plan is the best deal going right now. All I need now is free txt messages-- I don't txt a lot so I don't need many ... what sob story do I to tell Sprint for them to add in the free txt msgs?
Thanks in advance!

My Q is here, it's awesome. Best Buy has a sale on BT accessories, so I'm headed there for lunch...
I did run into some resistance trying to change my other plans to SERO. I've called a few times, and emailed the SERO folks. Email I got from SERO (3 May 07):

1. $249 - $100 sprint - $75 kellog - $25 refer = $50
2. Yes, buy PDANET
3. It's about 200 kbps a little faster than edge
4. No
5. Actually, you're supposed to pay ~$40/m for the data plan, but using that software is a backdoor.
Still no camera-less smartphones except for the (way too expensive) IP-830W. Argh!Originally posted by: krunchykrome
Sprint has some new phones available now. They have a new Treo, the 750 I think. But it's not available through the SERO website...
