This month has filled up all of my credit cards, emptied my bank account and paypal account, lol.

Now I just need to find some money somehow in order to hit more of these deals.

sketchy deal man...

they wont do it...they will argue that because the $240 is lower than the $250 after instant, there is no PM...remember, instant means you walk out the door at the price shown minus the instant...

besides...that OM Giftcard usually is by mail or something...you RARELY ever get to use any kind of gift card from the gift card deals...

AAAHHHHH!!!!

I had just put my annoying desire for an external DVD RW out of my mind, then I come across this! I just ordered it online with my MSN wallet and the $50 off. Tax was $15. So, my receipt says $314.98. And, I got the $80 gift card rebate. After the $60 from MSN (which hasn't shown up yet), I'll be down to $174. If they PM it next week, I'll definitely keep it.

Thanks for the head's up, even though I'm going broke on all these good deals.....

Just noticed that the drive is on backorder online. My deliver date is June 9, which will be after next week's sale is over. Without an invoice, I can't PM instore; not sure if they'll do it by phone....

Don't know how you did your math but it would come to $249.99....just add the paper clips and that way it will
be over $250 after instant rebate. As far as the giftcard is concerned...You can sell it for $65 no problem...

Just thought I'd add that there is going to be a $70 gift card next week, so at worst they'll take $10 off the PM and make it either $90 or $40 worth of PM instead of $100 or $50 like said above.

Another quick note: if you plan on using the $50 off $250 coupon, add a little something extra like some FAR CDR's or something to get over the $350 mark. That way after the PM to $249.98 they can't shaft you on the coupon by saying your order is now under $250.

One more thing, these things are now only shipping out of their main warehouse in Colorado, which means 5-6 day delivery time. So, you better jump on this quick, and also be prepared to return it if you don't get it in time to Price Match.

Are they real sticklers over $0.02? Just wondering, because they usually don't care in the B&M stores.

My order says it won't ship until June, 9, 2003. We might be cutting it close for that 14 day postmark on the rebate - or will they use the shipping date as the date?

Can we do a price adjustment next week (before we get the drive) without worrying about them changing the purchase date on the delivery receipt?

So next week it'll be $249 with a $70 GC on top of that? MSN will still be in their wallet promotion next week, so this may be easier than trying to PM...

Is next week's OM flyer up anywhere yet?

It does look like there might be a $70 Gift Card in next week's sale. The Officemax ad for next week will be on-line Friday morning then we can see exactly what next week's deal looks like.

This week sale
$350 HP DVD300e
-$50 Coupon
------
$300
-$60 MSN rewards
------
$240
-$80 CardGift
------
$160
-$100 PM (if PM is only $50 subtract $50 from total)
-------
$60 Total before taxes on $300

Next week sale
$350 HP DVD300e
-$100 Intant rebate
-------
$250
-$50 Coupon
------
$200
-$40 MSN rewards
------
$160
-$70 CardGift
------
$90 Total before taxes on $250

Also keep in mind that the HP DVD300e is already in backorder and could be OOS before next weeks sale start, which would cause Officemax to remove the drive from the web site.

Cool. That's just good math

Like I said, I ordered mine last night, but delivery may be too late to PM. I guess I'll call and hash it out with the CSR on Sunday....

You don't have to have the drive to do the PM, all you are doing is asking Officemax to reduce the price you are being charged on your order for the drive under their 14 day low price guarantee.

Any idea if burner will be back on website. They never posted the HD from last week on website.
Gonna be hard to get a pricematch if website don't have it.

You need to rework the math and do the MSN rewards last because you lose $20 when you get your $100 PM. I've PMed items at Circuit City which I had bought through MSN and the PM was reflected in the MSN account. So the only difference between buying it this week and next week is $10.

This week sale
$350 HP DVD300e
- $50 Coupon
------
$300
-$100 PM (if PM is only $50 subtract $50 from total)
------
$200
-$40 MSN rewards
------
$160
-$80 CardGift
-------

$80 Total before taxes on $200

Next week sale
$350 HP DVD300e
-$100 Instant rebate
-------
$250
-$50 Coupon
------
$200
-$40 MSN rewards
------
$160
-$70 CardGift
------
$90 Total before taxes on $200

FATAL FLAW! I got the email response from OM about the PM. They won't do it, because this week's sale is for the 200e, not the 300e. Makes the best case for this deal about $180 AR w/ NO PM.

Busted.....

How many threads are you going to post your same reply in?? Anyway here's the same anwser you got in the other thread.

(That incorrect, if you look at the ad there is 2 SKU numbers, the first one is for the 200e and the second one is the 300e. You can also see that both drives are listed on the web page that list all the items in the on-line copy of the in store sale ad. Call back and tell them to look at #77 on the page that list all items.

This page contains all of the offers in our In-Store Advertised Specials.
