One thing I will warn you about with this laptop is that it gets quite warm ... my friend has it and can not use it as a "laptop" because it will cook his lap ...

Ahaha, I remember a year and a half ago (roughly), some guy in England burnt part of his penis because he had a laptop (either Dell or IBM I believe) on his lap for a very long period of time, and it burnt his penis. = /

TreFitty (i just got the south park reference, if it is one), i used my sister's ze4300 to play battlefield 1942. its no geforce3, but it runs playably. i had to download a video patch from the support site though. the laptop DOES get hot while you are playing though.

i am tempted to get this, but something better will probably come out by xmas.

far as i can tell $650.00 is gonna be the best you can do on this.

the Officedepot coupon for 15% off expires today, so officemax won't have to match it.

Already ordered online.

the price was the $1100.00, but i call officemax and talked to a sales person, and she said she knows the price has not been changed yet online, and to call back on monday and get the price changed to the $800.00 price.

I also used a 1% back credit crad and office max oerks are 1% back too.

so final price after rebate +tax -2% is like $682.00.

and will be delivered monday.

Not in my opinion. We bought a couple of the pavilion series at work, and they are piles of suck. The track pad is crap, the clicker sticks and doesn't click, and the trackpad doesn't track properly. The battery life sucks. HP uses restore discs so trying to install XP or 2k without all their crap is a pain in the ass, added to the fact trying to find the proper drivers is near impossible.

If you want something to have around the house to bang around on, go ahead, but the pavilion sucks and stay away from them life the plague imo.

well considering I sold my old P4 1.6A laptop on Ebay for $665.00,
I bought this for only $15.00 more than the old 1 went for, and I can throw it up on Ebay and some NOBBER will pay like $900.00 for it probably.
