This is a COLD deal. I've been burnt multiple times by I/O Magic. They have NEVER sent back the rebate money.
Also, the quality of the hardware is very, very poor. I would suggest staying away from this deal.

#1.Whenever you don't get a rebate you should go to place you made the purchase and ask them to give you the rebate money, that how it works.
#2. I/O Magic doesn't made CD-RW drives they only sell rebadged drives from different mfg.

I didn't even pay attention at the B&M (trying to get the $25 off coupon to work) that my cd-writer box wasn't even shrink-wrapped. Has anyone else gotten theirs like this?

I'm wondering if someone opened it and returned it. (It's an AOPen by the way).

ISO, Mine was shrinkwrapped. Perhaps someone did return it, who knows. They may have just been trying to get a lite-on. If it works and no coasters...just be happy... i just hope my rebate gets accepted...my mailman didn't pick up my rebate slip on saturday!!!

I always send in the packing slip and never had a problem with the rebate. Also your PM is not turned on.
