On the online invoice the Guitar Hero II package is readjusted to $4.99 and the X-Plorer is rung up as $19.99. Since the guitar is only $10.00 at CC, when you show up to pick up your items, they give you a $10 + tax credit. Making the total of all merchandise only $15.00 + tax!!

Just pulled the trigger on this deal as a gift for my bro.

I'll be picking it up tomorrow morning and will post my results. Even without the $10 credit, it seems like a steal even at ~$25

Okay, bought 2 of each tonight! The reason why the $10 credit happens is because the stand alone guitar is $10 less in the store. That's the Circuit City price guarantee promise that if the price is different in the store you get that price! Now my store is sold out, sorry

Ok, I *HATE* Circuit City, but for $15, I've gotta try this. I already have GHII for PS2, and I kind of hate the X-plorer guitar, but at this price, I can just hack the controller apart (as in, with a saw) to get rid of those stupid jaggy pointy bits.

Will see tomorrow if I can get in on this deal.

I just got the deal at the Van Nuys Circuit city for $16.21 out the door. I was expecting to pay $27.02 but when I went there for the instore pickup, it got reduced to $16.21. It all happened automatically.

Update: Got mine from Emeryville, CA this morning. Price adjusted automatically. Both the CSR and MGR said "I've never seen that before", before punching it through. Excellent deal. Some people on Fat Wallet mentioned returning the 2nd guitar, so that they just get Guitar Hero II w/ guitar for $5. Either way, awesome deal. I'll try to figure out something to do with the wired guitars!

just a heads up..the credit works for all version of Guitar Hero..or any item that comes with the free Xplorer guitar. I got GH3 bundle with wireless controller + returned the corded 2nd controller for $28!

Apparently I'm the only one who had trouble with this deal, I showed up and my receipt at the store printed out as $10.00 for the guitar (instead of $19.99 with a $9.99 adjustment) even though I was charged $19.99 online. The girl wasn't really understanding me when I asked for a price adjustment, she just said "you already got the guitar for $10" and then gave me the 1-800 number. So I have to call them and see if they can do something on their end, otherwise I just return it.

Ok so I just got off the phone with a CSR who said the price match should've been done in the store, she connected the store manager into a menage a trois call, I couldn't understand 90% of what he said due to his accent, but I think the gist of it was, the credit should be automatically applied to my card within 72 hours, and if it isn't to come back to the store and they'll give me the credit. I have a feeling I'm gonna have to drive back up there and get it done manually though, because as far as the system was concerned I'd paid $16.22, not $26.21. CSR gave me a case number to call back on in a few days and get an update and now I wait.
