Oh the horror of dealing with OD over the telephone. Yesterday I ordered one stick of this from the web site. This morning I decided I wanted two, so I placed a new order for two sticks with the bigger coupon. Then I called OD to cancel the first order. I _carefully_ read her the order number and she said no problem, it's cancelled. I also told her I had already placed a new order on the web. So I check my order status a half hour later on the web site and guess what? THE STUPID CHICK CANCELLED MY NEW ORDER!

I call in and try to get the order reopened and they say they have to redo the order and now it's all backordered blah blah can't apply the coupon blah blah. Now I try to order again on the web and of course it's out of stock. So beware if you ever have to call OD, they are complete idiots so you have to hold their hand and make sure they don't screw it up. This is the 2nd time they did something like this to me. Bah, no DDR for me I guess.

it says on the rebate only one per name/address/household. how are you going to get both rebates? you ordered online, so your name/address will show up on the invoice.

if you use the 20/75 coupon, it comes out to around $75 shipped. after the rebate, it brings it down to around $50.

Hotter!

It's back in stock in Berkeley. Check your area.

AND there's a new $15 off $50 coupon. Go search for it. Total for me was $12 AR for 256mb ddr and 4-pk dry-erase markers. Sweet!

I went to my closest OD - stick rang up for $89, but the
asst manager got confused in correcting the price for the
IR, so that I ended up getting 2 sticks each for about $32
so now after rebate, about $7 each.

What are the odds people will actually receive a rebate check for this deal? I once sent in a rebate to ATI and never received anything... they said they never got the rebate...

There's a limit of ONE on that rebate.

Unless you people buying two are doing so in person at the store for CASH, you are SOL on one rebate.

if i were to backorder this would it get the current price before rebate whenever it comes in? or would i get whatever price is current at the time of shipping?

at ~$45 a stick it's still a smokin deal.

I ordered mine online along with the Siemens network card ($12.95 -$10 rebate), showed as OOS for online, but in stock for local pickup. When I stopped at the pickup store though, after diddling for 15 minutes they told me its been OOS since Sunday. Can't wait to see this screwup system once the heavy orders start to hit in a couple weeks for Xmas.

OD told me they constantly are restocking, and should have it back in stock this week, will hold one for me, yadda yadda. One way or another OD is going to make me happy about this, as I am pretty sure I have already paid for the items.

What gives? I had the thing in my cart. The web price was higher than the advertised price (but no problem because I was going to price match the advertised price). Then I went to double-check the advertised price and they changed it (online at least). Now it's "89.99 - 25.00 Mail-In Rebate - 15.00 Instant Savings = 49.99". Less a $15 coupon leaves the price at $35, which is perhaps a decent price but not a killer deal. Is this still active in some cities?

WhiteMouse - in the past when this has happened to me, once I received the item I called customer service and ask them why I was charged more than in the ad - they have always refunded the difference. One thing to watch-out for, make sure they include sale tax in the refund, since they charged you sales tax based on the [bogus] online price....

I have done that too, but I have a suspicion in this case they are going to tell you the ad is a mistake and they won't honor it. They have done that in the past and if you look at the online weekly advertised specials, at least in my area they have changed it to "89.99 - 25.00 Mail-In Rebate - 15.00 Instant Savings = 49.99". Take off the $15 coupon and you have $35 PC2100 Kingston RAM -- not bad (it costs over $70 elsewhere), but not irresistable either. I would love to be proven wrong by someone who orders first and gets a price adjustment based on the print ad, though.
