Will look great next to my new $90 Klipsch 2.1 speakers

LOL!
I got in on those same exact deals too...and yes it does look good with the promedias!...well, I guess any two products look good next to each other when you get them for dirt cheap!

Like I said in the earlier reply, you will most likely be forced to have your local Staples call BestBuy and PM over the phone.

Just bought the Logitech Dual Optical Mouse at Best Buy the price on the sign was $29.99.. there were only 2 of them there. Good deal! They had the AT&T (Verbatim) 80 minute 50 pack spindles there right out front for $10.00 out the door minus I believe another $7 or so mail in rebate on top of that. The Logitech should be good for gaming there are some reviews on it around the net just go on Google and search for "Logitech" + "Dual Optical" + review. That will find some reviews for you with comments about how good it is in games.. it still has the minor issue of course of when you pick up the mouse it loses tracking but any optical mouse does that.. sometimes you pick up the mouse because the cord is sticking a bit on the desk.

I have read severaly reviews but having tried a couple of em myself (not the dual), the reviews don't seem to match with my experience.

I would much prefer to hear from people who are less biased than the reviewers.

This is the 4th Logitech optical mouse I've used and so far I like the best. The first I had was a Mouseman wheel (the blue one that's contoured to your hand). Very nice, comfy, most accurate mouse I've used other than the dual. The 2nd I had was the cordless Freedom (the black and silver one). Nowhere near as accurate and it lags, the sensitivity is artificially set higher on it to compensate. The 3rd I had was the plain $10 one, nothing fancy but at least I could game with it (you can't game with the cordless). The dual is my 4th and favorite. It's shaped exactly like the cordless, feels ver good, and it's damn accurate. My 1st 5 minutes using it, I pegged 3 CTs (2 awpers, 1 idiot rusher) at the front of the warehouse on cs_assault from the back wall with an AK, didn't use more than 15 rounds. Awping got downright scary. If you're into gaming and want an accurate mouse, get the dual.

You know even though I posted this deal I haven't bought one yet... I have a Boomslang 2000 for gaming and wonder how this compares performace wise. While the Boomslang is nice it is showing it's age... It's 2 years old and a couple of months ago I had to resort to fixing button one with Duct Tape .

Is the dual optical good enough to put the Razer out to pasture???

D@MN rebate expired....

I have been using this mouse since it came out. It's a really good quality mouse and i love it. I personally think the dual optical thing is a gimic, but that doesn't mean the mouse isn't good great deal

Be careful of that rebate... I picked up this mouse at Office Depot for $29.99, and saw the $20 Mail-In Manufacturer rebate which was valid ONLY with the purchase of the keyboard AND mouse...

Someone verify that the rebate offered by staples isn't when both are purchased? On staples' site, it says Manufacturer rebate, meaning Logitech is offering it... meaning it should be on their website, which it isn't... meaning anyone who purchased this mouse should be able to redeem it... meaning my mouse should end up costing $9.99

Linky to the manufacturer rebate?

OfficeMax has the Logitech Optical Mouse (2 buttons + scroll) for $19.99. I read their 115% pricematch policy and it doesn't say anything about rebates at other stores. So I'm thinking you can Pricematch with Staples at their $9.99 AR price....so you'll get the mouse at OfficeMax for $8.50?

OM doesn't have the Dual Optical mouse unfortunately.

One note on this mouse is the pads on the bottom. The pads are good, but not glued on too well. Combine that with FPS games and the hard plastic of an everglide mousepad and you have pads that fall off. I've had the mouse about 6 months and 3 of the 5 pads on the bottom have "disappeared". I called Logitech and they are sending me new pads, so we will see how long that lasts. YMMV.

Best Buy has the logitech optical (just 3 buttons), white, for $9.99, no rebates or anything.

Oh, and bestbuy.com has this dual one for $39.99 now, so you can buy it online at staples and get it pricematched (no need to leave your house! =P) for the original $19.99 AR instead of 10. Of course if your local BB has it for $29.99 you can still get it for 10.

nobody answered the rebate question...from what I know, there is no $20 MIR, so this is actually very cold.

I've been using the blue Optical MouseMan for a while now, and I think it works great. The only FPS I play is C-S and while I'm not a god or anything, I don't have any tracking or speed issues at all. Mouse is still in good shape (maybe 1.5 years old now) but I couldn't help but jump on the Dual Optical deal this past week.

In fact, I prefer the MouseMan design over the new ergonomic design. The blue mouse also has the advantage of not getting dirty; the rubber sides discolored just a bit with use, and canned air blows away dust easily. The mouse surface can be wiped with diluted alcohol to remove finger oil.

I'll probably replace the blue optical MouseMan w/ the new dual optical soon, but if for some reason I don't like the ergonomics or don't notice improved accuracy, I may even stick w/ the blue MouseMan. It's a fine mouse.

I've owned numerous Logitech mice over the years, and they all last (basically I throw them out when they're too dirty). Frankly, I read about more problems with MS mice; for example some of the Explorers were recalled.

The rebate is now dead!

According to the rebates fine print:

"Purchase must be made between August 25th, 2002 and August 31st, 2002"

It is now Sept. 4th

So your rebate is now dead if you are ordering now.

This is a question that I have been wondering about for six months. I wouldn't hesitate to spend that kind of money on a boomslang if I knew it were worth it but the feedback I've gotten on it have been mixed. Some say they like it and some say they don't (it's too big etc...).

oh well maybe I guess I'll just have to wonder.

Throw your razor in the trash, I have owned a boomslang, logitech optical, ms optical, and the dual optical logitech

The dual optical logitech literally blows everything away, it's probably the favorite piece in my system.

Just went to one of my local Staples (Albany,NY), looking for and getting the USB card reader, I notice that they dropped the price on the Logitech Dual Optical Mouse from $49.98 to $39.98. So if u picked 1 of these 2 wks ago take your receipt and get another $10 off plus tax.

Thanks whatnow for the information. I am curious about Staples policy concerning this because I used a 10 off 40 coupon to buy this. Would they still give me the difference even though the coupon makes it the same price?

Just bragging, Got mine for free. Was $20 off at Best buy for open box discount. Asked the manager if they'ed still price match the compusa price, he did plus added $10 (don't know why, maybe just wanted to clear the last one out). I payed $50, and got the rebate at the registar for $50.

Hankysmoo, I have until Saturday to try for the price adjustment. I think the price adjustment should go though. I could argue that at the lower price I could still use that 10 off 40 coupon if I added something to push the price over 40 dollars.
