Out of stock! The blight of my orders! I've been looking for a hot deal on this mouse for a while, and this was DEFINITELY it. I'll see if I can at least PM it to Staples like someone suggested.

Talking to a CSR right now, he's putting the order through for me even though its backordered. LOL he asked me if I was related to a Jeff something and I was like uhhh why do you ask? CSR says oh Jeff just ordered the exact same thing you did coupon mouse and paperclips. LOL he said he can't put a coupon in for backordered items but that he would leave a note in their so that once I got the mouse I could call back and they would credit me. He was really cool about it. Good luck to anyone else who orders, this is an awesome deal even at 50 dollars!

I just called it in, CSR let me do an in-store pickup even though it said out of stock on the website. She said "hmm, that's weird, you said the price was $49.99? Mine shows higher." I told her that's what it was online, and she agreed to have them bring it down to $49.99 for in-store. Unfortunately she couldn't/wouldn't apply the $15 coupon code, since she said it was for delivery only and not in-store. I'll try to convince the people @ OD to give me the extra $15 back (I printed out the referral page that says "Your discount of $15 on a $50 purchase will appear after you place your order") if I add paper clips to the order, since people said this worked back in the day with the $10 hard drive deal.

Even if I only get it at $52.99 (post-tax here in NJ), I'll still be very happy!

I just got back from a lame and fruitless trip to OD here. They had ONE MX700 left in stock. Rang up @ 79.99. Showed them the printout of their website showing $49.99. They essentially told me to stick it where the sun don't shine. Very uncool. The other OD in town doesn't have it in stock, so I guess I am OOL. Oh well, YMMV everyone. I at least tried myself. :|

I went in and pick up my order this moring.......the phone order did go through, however when the csr enter my order number for the price, it showed $79.99....she had to overwrite the system to give me the $49.99 price......was able to get one more at the same price at the next OD I visited, however the manager refused to let me use the coupon..........

Thanks TerryB! Awesome Deal!!! I was working on this all morning after seeing this post. The internet site was backordered, the phone route lead to a dead end also, so I just printed off the Office Depot listing of the mouse and also the coupon, and took it in. The CSR asked me if I had called in earlier, I was like, No? He briefly glances over my printouts and just started ringing the mouse up. The guy before me had done all the convincing work and now I was reaping all the benefits!!!! Came to $37.93 after tax. I'm in Dallas.

I just took a printout of the web page and a printout of the "your referral code has been accepted" to a local OD. The manager accepted the coupon and PM to their website. Total cost was something like $38.xx. I would suspect the PM to staples would also work in many areas. Just explain it's OOS online and be nice. I've done this twice with OD this year and they've accepted it both times. I still don't know if I need it though.

Unfortunately the mouse is OOS/BackOrdered for me as well. Darn, I would really have loved to have the chance to try a (good) wireless mouse too. For those of you who managed to score on this deal ... CONGRATS ! I hope the price will remain once the item is in inventory again.

Office Depot here has no problem pricematching website but won't take coupon code. I went ahead and bought the dang thing. I'll keep it unopened. If it comes back in stock online I'm just gonna return it and go for the online deal.

I took a printed page of my cart showing the mouse, a ream of paper, and the coupon code into my OD and it was no problem. And they have one more in stock.

Total was $47.70 including ream of paper and 4.22 in taxes.

Now eagerly waiting for the mouse, it should be here in 3 days. The weird thing is if you just search office depot's website they don't have the MX700 Cordless Mouse. Keeping my fingers crossed.
