DEAD!!! Free shipping stopped about half an hour after my order. for you but still for me, crossing fingers and hoping the order won't get cancelled.

I just got my confirmation from 2buystore, that is 111.99 SHIPPED to Columbus, Ohio.

They had them at like $140 shipped free, then dropped them to $111.99 but charged like 28 to ship them.

Now (perhaps its a price mistake) they are 111.99 and UPS ground shipping is free!!

Always wanted to ask this question, could someone shed some light on why spending a lot of money on computer speakers is better than investing in home stereo components and connecting your sound card to them?

When checking shipping on these it shows ups ground is 28bux to NC.

I got these today! They sound great, BUT I have yet to get them to work with my SB Live! 5.1 mp3+
I am using XP. Can anyone please help me? I updated the drivers and they still don't seem to work. So right now they are connected to my mobo sound and I can only use 2 of the 4 speakers Please PM or email. Thanks

2Crucial: this wont solve your soundcard problem, but simply pressing the green M3D button on teh control pod will allow the speakers to separate a 2 channel sound source (onboard sound) into all four speakers. not as good as a 4 channel soundcard, but still better than 2.1.

Did you set the Live! up for 4 speaker output? It doesn't know you have nice 4.1 speakers unless you tell it in the options.

Yes I did set it up for 4 speakers, still not happening. Don't know what else to do...everytime I plug them into my sound card, there's no sound.

Edit: My friend has the same problem with Live 5.1 everytime he reinstalls the card after installing a new OS. Theres a check box somewhere in some menu that makes it work. I don't know how to find it or where it is though. If I see him online, I'll ask him.

Mine didn't even ship until today . My CC company must not have set up my new billing address so I had to call them after they said they had a problem. How do you like yours, 2Crucial?

2crucial, remember that the control panel/pod thingee has all of the knobs set like it is laid horzontally. What I mean is that when you have it vertical, the "zero" for the fade and bass is to the 12 o'clock, but when you have it horizontally the zero is all the way to the left (9 o'clock) Try playing around with the fade and seeing if you can hear from your rear speakers.

EDIT Ok, so there is no "zero" for the fade knob, but when it is at 12 o'clock with the control pod vertical, it is all forward and very little (or none) to the rear speakers

2Crucial: I had the same problem running them on Win XP with my SB Audigy card. I put a headphone into the speaker jacks to see if I had sound and lo and behold I did. I then discovered why the sound wasn't coming out of all 4 speakers. Make sure the M3D button is not pressed in. Once I unpressed it, I had sound from all 4 speakers.

Update:
I right clicked on the speaker in my sys tray and clicked on Adjust Audio Properties
Changed my default device to sb live! That enabled me to plug my speaker cables into my sound card.
Then I went to Speaker Settings, advanced and changed it to Quadraphonic Speakers (Closest thing to 4.1)
That enabled all 4 speakers w/o the M3D button.

Hey all...I hooked up on this deal and got the speakers today. But the thing is that there are 2 charges on my card from 2buystore...one for the order and one for $24.77. I think they're trying to collect on the free shipping part. Anyone else have this problem?
