Not the extended version, but worth it for two bucks.
Wonder how much actually goes to the artists...
Somebody needs to start a humble like donation site for music.
Make sure the artists get a large portion of the proceeds while giving us a reduced rate.
Cut out a bunch of the scamming middlemen.
I'd set it up in tiers, anything under $1 is like 128kbps MP3 one time download, under $2 is like 256kbps and adds to an account for repeat download. Above $2 would allow 320kbps or FLAC (and other?) and added to an account. If they reach a certain total goal or if you donate $5+ it could unlock specials/extended editions etc.
Even at $5 for an extended edition album, with 90% going to the artists I bet they'd make more on each sale, and would likely sell more to boot. For older albums there could be bundles or something. Would donations be tax free?
Can artists even donate their music, or are they totally owned by the evil music corp?
