I'm a little confused, PeterPan. Did you have STAPLES.COM pricematch a Fry's B&M, or did you do this at Staples B&M?

I bought at Staples.com and yes, I called ask them PM to Fry's B&M, she asked the phone number of the store and give me the credit.
But they denied to give me credit on HP 774e as they did give to others which piss me off.

I called and did the Best Buy PM last night, the CSR already knew about the Best Buy PM so it only took her 30 second to give me $21.64 credit back (she did it for 100% not 110% but that's OK). Thanks guys for educating the CSRs about the BB price, making my PM real easy.

I just came from the store with 2 "L01J100 is the Maxtor retail kit number for the "100+20GB"/2MB cache drives." Those of you that got lucky with the 8MB edition prey to GOD for been so lucky. IN the other hand I paid $120 for each. Not tax for me because I work for the State of New York.Lucky me. Anyways tomorrow I will return them to my local Staples and buy them again so I can get the $40 Dollars Rebate in tomorrow circular. OK This is how I did it.

HDD 120GB 2MB 7200 = $149.98
Bought 1 pack of bic pens $.50c
________
Total Price So far $150.48

I use the 30 off 150 coupon which you can find in your favorite site, or you can PM me and I will sent you the printable version of the coupon to your PM box. hehe.

Total Price I paid at the register $120.48

Now I will wait till tomorrow to return it and get it with the rebate. Happy shopping to those who got a hold of this deal.

My order still shows the coupon and no pricematch. It also says shipped. I have not yet seen the charge hit the credit card, and delivery is set for Tuesday.

I've been told the pricematch amount should hit my credit card a day or two after the original charge.

So everything sounds cool; we'll see what actually happens.

OK Called in on the pricematch again, they told me they would match but would remove the coupon because my order total was 129. I asked if I could buy something to bring it back to 150 and they said yes. I ordered something for $20 and received a 20.99 credit.

I decided to get in on this deal lastnight.. but didnt buy until it was too late at night to do the pricematch (the after hours lady said pricematch has to be done between 8am - 10pm).. so I was going to call back today and just do the $10 staples PM, since the BB one expired yesterday.. but now, Ill definitly try getting this PM instead

How would you do this if you got the drive for $150, used a $30 off $150 coupon ($120.00)? It's the same price after coupon and if you have them do a price match, wouldn't they drop the $30 coupon anyway? Just curious?

yes ..they would attempt to drop but you can add something in to cover the difference..those Sony CDs for $3. after rebates and such..

Im missing the logic here..
149.99 + something to get over 150.. PM compusa - 30 (or 33 if you get the 110%) = 119.99 (or 116.99) - 30 coupon (30 off 150) = 89.99 - 40 MIR = 49.99


but where does the need for $3 to get the coupon to work come in to play?
