I'll tell you what. For the sake of argument, let's count your $30 gift card. You still paid $100 (and had to give up a $30 gift card) for a drive that everyone else can get for $79. That's no deal, dude.Originally posted by: Winchester
A Gift Check is not redeemable for CASH. It was giving to me by someone who did not need it. Therefore I had to use it, which means $30 off for FREE, like the $30 off $150, same thing, I just got to use two. If I have to count my GC then you have to count your coupon. Which means you paid $87 for the drive.
You're so much better just returning everything to Staples, getting your $30 gift card back and buying the drive for $79 at CompUSA.
Originally posted by: WinchesterToddler, the closest CompUSA is over 200 miles from me. The closest fry's is 400 miles from me. I forgot to mention that but this is the best deal I can find in my area.

question, anyone double pricematched staples yet on this deal? like pm the bestbuy deal first, and then pm the compusa one or staples own price?

I called my credit card company today to see what has been credited and debited, and it's not right. I was suppose to be debited 130.09, but they only took 129.82, and they have not credited me anything, i'm gonna sit and wait for a while and call back in a couple of days, but right im thinking of calling and getting a pm again because they lowered the drive down to 139.98. plus i might just buy another one.
Yes, you can PM to a store, just give them the phone to the store that still has they in stock, but it has to be a store in your area.Originally posted by: shawnz28
does anyone know if they will price match a local comepusa at staples if I order it? the local compusa has it in stock?

here is what I just did... Harddrive 149.99.. PM with compusa to bring down to 124.99 (they went to 119.99, but insisted on the $5 for compusa shipping).. but from 124.99, I still needed to get above 150 (before tax) to use the 30 off 150.. so I added in 2 spindles of cds for 12.94 each ($10 rebate). this brought me to 150.87 (161.43 after tax). then used the 30 coupon to drop to 150.87 (131.43).. but my actual charge was 129.33 (not sure where I gained back the other $2.10.. so now Im at 129.33 - 40 MIR - 10(2) MIR = $69.33 total for the drive and 2 spindles of cdrs maybe $79.33 if I can only get one of the rebates for the cdrs besides for insisting on the $5 for compusa shipping.. it was pretty easy.. an no hassle at all for the pricematch or use of both a rebate and coupon.
Unfortunately the rebate is for Staples.com orders only. I don't believe there is one on B&M purchases. If I were you I'd go buy one at CompUSA and then return it...but hang on to that CompUSA receipt and rebate form, if you know what I mean.Originally posted by: h00tyIt says in this weeks circular that there is a $40 mir for the b&m stores. I went there and bought the drive but they werent able to print out the rebate and they couldnt find it online either. Has anyone seen this rebate? This should be a b&n rebate not the one for staples.com.
Yeah but no one can find a Staples rebate form that doesn't say Staples.com. I bet it's a Maxtor rebate, so it may be on their web site. It's not very clear.Originally posted by: WinchesterThere is a B&M rebate, look at the Sunday circular. I think it is $40. $149 - $10 Instant - $40 MIR = $99.
I hate to ask because I always see where people say, "you can find it if you look", but where can I find Staples in store coupons (PM me please)? I assume I have to have a paper coupon in hand to use at a B&M, not just a code, correct? Thanks in advance for any and all help, I am new at this but trying to learn.
