Looks like my $80.00 MIR is been processed. gooodie

Question for anyone knows, how can i get the full 160GB in one partition using this Maxtor 160GB externally?

I do have the SP1 update and regedit has been updated, using an original Maxtor USB2.0 external case, but still shows 137GB max. Since i can't you the controller card, is there a way to get the full capacity? or my only choice is dual partitions?

Sorry to bring this back to the top. This also may be the wrong section for this request, but I think this is the appropriate thread:

Does anyone happen to have the pdf for this rebate? I received notice from Stapes that I sent two rebates in after the deadline, which I'm positive is not the case. I made copies of the UPCs but not the submission forms. If anyone has this available please email me!

Also, if you have a copy of the rebate submission form printout from Staples, the postmark date listed there would be very helpful! I don't want to be out $160 if I can avoid it.

Thank you dc. Does anyone happen to have a copy of the rebate form the register prints out at Staples? The link dc provided shows 6/30/2003 as the postmark deadline.

I am 95% certain that the Staples printout that I sent mentioned the postmark deadline in mid-July, and that it had to be received by 7/31/2003. One of my coworkers who also got in on this deal remembers the same. Unfortunately we both made the mistake of not copying the submission form, only the UPC.

If anybody can confirm this I would appreciate it!

I almost got caught out by the short time between purchase and mail in date, too. Fortunately for me the 29th of June fell on a weekend, the time I decided to get caught up on my rebate submissions. Mine were submitted on line and I also downloaded the form directly from Staples (I don't believe there was a manufacturer's on this one), and it always had the June 30 submission date.

In fact, the only form that I've seen that a long submission period was the APC battery BU.

If you can not use the card, then your MotherBoard BIOS must support 48 bit LBA. Check with your MoBo mfgr if they have an update.

Thank you for the information! I don't know why there is a discrepancy between the two submission forms. I bet it will provide a lot of people headaches though. That is a large rebate to miss out on!

Anybody? I can't believe Staples would delete the form from their website! I know they want us to jump through hoops, but that's ridiculous.

Edit: it's also absent from the Maxtor website. I tried various "bargains" websites, such as edealinfo.com and techbargains.com, and none have copies of the rebate form.
