-------------
Update: Looks like Staples pulled the drive off their website. So, the deal is dead now. Congrats to every one who got in.
-------------

Please note: the deal is valid only: 11/17 - 11/27

Maxtor 60GB Drive at Staples

Reg. Price: $109.98
Instant savings: - $10
Coupon: - $30 (Add your favorite small item to bump the total to $100)
MIR: - $30

Net: $39.98

Now, to make this deal sweeter:

There are two more rebates on this item for $20 each valid until 12/28. So, by double-dipping or triple-dipping, it may be possible to get it for $19.98 or for even FREE by if we can convince Staples/RebatesHQ to accept copies of UPC (I have done that before when multiple rebates are available on the same item; and a lot of people have reported doing it before)

Link to current rebate #1 (exp 12/28)
Link to current rebate #2 (exp 12/28)

How hard is it to convice RebatesHQ to allow the UPC copies? Do you send them the copy and when it's rejected call them for each rejection?

ok so this deal starts on nov 17th, and it will have a new rebate posted then? Sounds like a good deal especially if at least one of th e 20$ rebates goes through... but how do we know they wont pull the 20$ rebates on the 17h when they start the 30$ mir and the 10$ instant?

So there is going to be a new MIR of $30 from 11/17-11/27?

That's why I have already saved those rebates onto my PC. I also printed a copy of each of those rebates.

Does sound very sweet if we could get them for sub $20 level. This would go into my next build I am doing for my nephew. Will keep an eye on this thread and see if it works out for people before Jump on it.

As I said above, we may not be able to see the $30 MIR until 11/17 (sometimes Staples puts it up a few days before).

As far as $30 coupon, we are not allowed to post any coupon codes here. Look at other hot deal sites. You can find them there.

If you want to get two drives, then you may have to use different addresses (since most rebates limit it to one per address).

would it be bad to mail all 3 rebates in at the same time with the upc? or would it be better/safer to mail in the biggest rebate with the UPC and a copy for each of the other 2 (and for those latter 2, would it be better to mail those in separately as well?)?

Last time I tried to do a multi-rebate deal on a maxtor drive at staples (last month) the ones with the copy of upc got rejected and only the original upc was accepted. I had proof in eMail that they said copy would be accepted but it did no good. This is hot for $40, but don't expect it for 20 or free. YMMV. Only buy if $40 is ok with you, don't count on the other rebates. l8rz all.

I just got a 16-digit $10 off $40 coupon in my email today.....do u know if that is stackable with the $30 off $100 coupon?

If it is, then I'll just buy the drive today.....and it should be
$110.00
-$30 coupon
-$10 coupon
-$20 maxtor rebate
-$20 staples.com rebate
--------
$30 + tax -$10 ( Price adjustement on 11/17/02 ) = $20 + tax.

has anyone confirmed that the existing two $20 rebates valid this week will surely be valid.....I don't care much about the $30 rebate starting on 11/17

Whenever there are multiple rebates involved, I always mail them separately (with the biggest rebate first).

Oh, this is sad when happening to you. I've never had any problem when submitting copies of UPC for Staples rebates if there is MFR's rebate offer in the same period of time as Staples.

Seems kind of like the same thing with the 30GB Maxtor deal. Maxtor does have multiple rebates, one that's generic and specific ones targeted for various retail stores. But they're still all Maxtor manufacturer's rebates, which makes it different than when there's a [insert store name]'s rebate alongside a manufacturer's rebate.

where was the maxtor rebate? The two original rebate links were both for staples. Is it the 30 MIR that is effective 11/17?

"I don't care much about the $30 rebate starting on 11/17"

You're kidding, right? Why wouldnt you care about another $30 rebate? All you have to do is have a little patience......wait till the 17th and get another $30 in your pocket!! I think after the additional $30 rebate, all you will pay for this drive is tax, no?

WASSA-MATTA FOR YOU????
