Damn, all you people ordering at 3 in the morning and stuff.... I just don't know about you. I woke up today at like 11:30 and saw the deal and thought what the hell, my order went through fine. 100.81 or something with some paperclips added - $30 coupon. And I'm pretty confident that we'll get all three rebates for it. I really don't think they are as hard-assed as you people make them out to be, for example:

Last black friday i got a scanner and a cd burner. I accidentally sent the upc's in the wrong envelopes for them, and got two postcards saying i was rejected. I called and all they wanted me to do was send them the copy of my upc's. I was a dumbass and didn't make copies, so i tried to find a cd burner in store to copy. They didn't even have the same model available anymore, but I ended up getting my rebates anyway just by writing an email and complaining about not getting them back.

I'm sure that if you send copies of the upc, or even just send no upc at all, you could call them up and fax/mail a copy of your upc and they will fulfill the rebate. At any rate, you will get at least the $30 rebate, making it $40+tax for a 60gig hard drive. Thats a good deal to begin with.

Mine just went through, thanks to all of those who cancelled their orders because I've been trying all day to get the order to go through. I added the paper clips (.21) to put it over 100 and the coupon went through fine. No problems so far... now to see if I actually get the hard drive. My new computer is kinda useless without this. I've been waiting a whole week to finish up my new rig.

if you just read the fine printing of the rebate.. the $30 rebate do not need a original UPC but both the $20 need one

so all you have to do is send a copyed UPC and ORIGINAL reciept to $30 one and send the ORIGINAL UPC and COPYED reciept to the $20 (or send it to both the $20) and depending on how lucky you are.. you may get the drive for $20 or free

Ok I am a newbie but hear me out. This is what I plan on doing tomorrow.

Get the hardrive and two sticks of the (512mb pny) memory and add an item to make the total 200 after the instant ten off.
Then I there is a way of getting 50 off 200, price is now 150. From there send in the rebates (from two different addy's) for 50 off each stick. Now I am down to 50 bucks. Send in the 30 MIR with a copy of the UPC for the HD and the original for the 20 and now you are down to almost nothing. Any problems? Am I just getting ahead of myself or does this actually sound like a plan?

That sounds like a great idea. I have heard that PNY rebates take a long time to get back. If it does work then you've got a great deal.

Edit: Could you link the memory because I only see 512pny memory being $129.99?

That memory can be PM'd to around 45 bucks using buy.com or tigerdirect.com. I found a better price on Buy.com. There is another thread out there that can fill you in on all of it.

Normally that comes with @ the register - will staples .com send the MIR with the drive ?
