Quick question, where does this $10 instant off come into play? Is that a separate coupon or does it just sorta happen magically?

That extra $10 off would be pretty sweet.....

And there's gonna be a new $30 rebate, huh? I think I've gotta jump on this!

Thanks!

There are two more rebates on this item for $20 each valid until 12/28. So, by double-dipping or triple-dipping, it may be possible to get it for $19.98 or for even FREE by if we can convince Staples/RebatesHQ to accept copies of UPC (I have done that before when multiple rebates are available on the same item; and a lot of people have reported doing it before)

Link to current rebate #1 (exp 12/28)
Link to current rebate #2 (exp 12/28)

Aren't both these rebates the same thing? Would they accept both of them?

I guess it would be kind of a risk, but couldn't you wait until 11/25 and buy it to get the MSN holiday reward?

$20 rebate #1 is good at staples.com only, so if your looking to get that one make sure you purchase it online.

You won't be able to use a coupon on-line and combine it with an "instant savings". Staples.com treats instant savings as coupons online.

Hmmm... so then this is a B&M only deal? That means there's a printable $30 off $100 somewhere? I know where there's a $30 off $100 online code, but if it's not printable, then this is an online-only deal and doesn't quite work out to $39.95 without the $10 "instant savings"

Not crapping, just trying to figure this deal out.

a lot of times, you can get managers to ok the online coupons, simply by talking to them before they know what you are buying. if they dont know you are getting something for free, they will be more willing to let you have a measly $30 off $100.

but of course with any thing like this, YMMV. . .

hrm there's so many people planning on getting in on this, kinda worries me that it'll be out of stock before I have a chance on the 17th Staples will probably be getting flooded, lol.

ok, I cant find the the 30 off 100 for the life of me. I did a Google Search for "Staples coupons" and I went through two and a half pages of garbage...I saw a 30 off 150 but no 30 off 100. Please email or AIM me with the coupon. TIA

Just look on various known coupon sites like jumpondeals or 24-7 coupon. You can get can figure out the address from there. People can't PM you the code b.c. of the forum rules.

You can also go to a forum like "Chubby"wallet. By the way, for the long-time members here, why is it that there is a rule against posting links to certain forums and web sites? I mean, isn't the reason Internet is also known as the World Wide Web because it's supposed to connect different sites together?

Usually not sites that are in direct business competition with each other..........

I also got in a Maxtor multi-rebate deal for the 40GB drive. The rebate from Maxtor was very fast--less than 6 weeks! This is a very nice deal, if only my computer fund hasn't dried up . . . Help me replenish it!

FYI: I have an extra Maxtor 60GB UPC code if you need one. It is the ORIGINAL sticker that I cut out from the box. The UPC number is as follows:
7 51921 02670 8
DiamondMax Plus 60GB ATA133
Kit: L01J060G

LMK if you're interested.

Thanks lsman, It's just that some reported that not all the D740Xs has fluid bearing motor, and while all the people that got in the 30G deal recently received the Plus 8 which has the fluid bearing. So the Plus 9 may be a better drive.

Why does Maxtor have to hide the actual drive model? It's not national secret.
