I can't find any info on the retail kit for the Plus60 drive on the Maxtor site though.

Thanks lsman, It's just that some reported that not all the D740Xs has fluid bearing motor, and while all the people that got in the 30G deal recently received the Plus 8 which has the fluid bearing. So the Plus 9 may be a better drive.

Don't see any mention of liquid bearings in the Plus60 specs on Maxtor site - I've read elsewhere that an L in the model# indicates that the drive has liquid bearings.

That is what rebate 1 says, did not bother to check #2.

You know you can request extra copy's of the reciept from staples, to honor mail-in rebates from the manufacturer.

Is the UPC code on the receipt? If not how is there a way to get more than one UPC code when you buy it? Also if you buy it online to utilize the 30/100 coupon then is there a way to get copies then? I see your point. forgot about the copies of upc codes. It says on both the rebate forms with no uncertain terms, "No reproductions of the UPC code will be accepted." Why dosn't everyone put two copies of the upc codes on the box like many flash memory makers?
Don't expect to be able to use anymore than 1 of the available mir's on this. 99-30 and possibly the 30 off 100 is probably the best your gonna get.

Still $40 would be good since the DiamondMax+9 ATA133 are on sale at newegg.com for $89 with free shipping, and thier 20Gigers are going for $67.

we both stay in the same apartment.
