Guys, I would really like to know where that 30off100 coupon is. There is a link to the 50off500 above, but I don't feel that ambitious this morning. Please post or direct me somewhere else that might have a link. I can't even find this chubby site I keep hearing about Can someone email me the info? torta_junk@hotmail.com

Thanks! (hopefully)

If you review your order on their web site, you'll see the comments that reads :
"The total does not include applicable sales tax. Staples has a business "presence" in each of the 48 states that we ship to and therefore is required by law to charge sales tax. "

I don't think it ever said "$30", unless it was for a brief period overnight. Maybe the webmaster simply forgot to update it ? Nonetheless, the $30 rebate is online. Yahoooooo !

Yes; all their confirmation emails say this; it's normal

Don't beg for coupon links. Begging and PMing coupon code/link will get you into trouble.

Why can't we share the coupon links? I saw it on a couple of coupon boards last night, but none this morning. I was wondering if someone could send me a link, or coupon. What is wrong with sharing this public info? i am new so i don't really know

thanks

Dave

I'm in, you'd better be soon if you want one. 1-4 business days instead of 1 now!

I went with the rubber bands to get it over.

Maxtor 60GB 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
448145
1 - 4 Business Days
$99.94

Each
1
$99.94

Bagged Rubber Bands, Crepe Color
PLY123 85
1 - 3 Business Days
$0.27

Each
1
$0.27

60GB for $70.21 before rebate, yeah!

Not to be mean, but why can't you read the thread? There are ample references to the the coupon. I found this deal w/o this thread and headed over to my favorite coupon forum and did a search. If you wanna know which one, read the thread.

do you think that you can just send a copy of the UPC to the 30 MIR since it doesn't specify not?

All three rebates listed specify that the original UPC code from the box must be supplied.

The $20 rebate even specifies "No reproduction of the UPC will be accepted".

So I'm not counting on anything but the $30 one ...

which still makes this a great deal !

The $30 rebate does not say it has to be an original. It says to enclose UPC and sales receipt. The other two $20 rebates ask for an original UPC. YMMV

My $30 rebate says you must include the original UPC. Personally I think getting a 60 gig 7200RPM hard drive for 40 bucks and change is one heck of a deal in itself and I'm happy with that.

Got this, thanks!

In order to secure the second rebate, register for the rebate at Staples.com for this drive, here. Select the "Complete Online Form" option. Fill in all yer info. At the end of the process, select the "Click here if you do not have a printer" option; otherwise you'll be printing a page with an area on it to tape the UPC code. The page you'll be linked to will say:

Thank you, Joe Blow. We are currently processing your information.

To receive your reward:

Write down this information on a 8.5 X 11 inch sheet of paper:
Tracking Number: XXXXXXXX
Name: Joe Blow
Address: Phat Pad, New York, NY 10036
Promotion Name: $30 Rebate on a Maxtor 60GB 7200RPM Hard Drive (SKU 448145)

Attach the required proof of purchase item(s) listed below:
? Store receipt

Mail all of this to the following address:
Staples Dept. #02-51266-W
P.O. Box 028513
Miami, FL 33102-8513

Re-read the bolded text, all you have to do is attach a copy of the store receipt!

Now go fill out the $20 rebate of your choice to bring the final cost of the drive to ~$25.

Who's the MAN?

optoman --

maybe there is more than one $30 rebate ?

Mine says " Send Original UPC bar code from your product box "

This PDF printout has a code # of 02-51266 in the lower right corner.

are we talking about the same one ?

Agreed. For $0.66/GB, I'm pleased with this deal. Even though I should start thinking about XMAS gifts for OTHER people, I can't pass this one up (which seems to be happening a lot, mind you!).

repeat:
From the $30 rebate mail in form (from staples.com)
1. Print and Fill Out Form
2. Include UPC and Sales Receipts in an envelope
3. Mail to: ( Dept. 02-51266 ), P.O. Box 028513, Miami FL 33102-8513

Bottom of page-
MAXTOR 60GB HARD DRIVE

Your Staples sales receipt is required to process this rebate.

It does not say "Original UPC Code" anywhere.

We should be able to get back $50 in rebates with little problem(1 phone call).

Here's what I am going to do:
Mail the $30 rebate 1st. I will submit a copy of the UPC code.
Wait for it to be approved.
If it is rejected a phone call should fix any problems.

Once the $30 rebate is approved I'll mail the $20 rebate with the original UPC code.
I'll probably pass on the other $20 rebate.
$25 for 60GB, yeah baby.

What's the turn around time on Staples rebates? You plan sounds logical. I just don't want to shoot myself in the foot and not get any rebate becuase of semantics.
