Just did the damn thang...well, a modified version. All the $20 off $100 coupons I could find were gone, so I added a printer cartridge and got it to $150. The $30 off $150 coupon is working for now. Shipping is going to take 4 days.

Yes I got a email confirmation this morning. I don't know this will help or not. When I first try to order the Hard Drive I was doing it on my desktop, when my order went thought I was using my latop. I guess you guys might want to clear your cache for your browser.

odd, I just tried again for fun and it let me order it with 4 day shipping. The weird thing is that I was literally just talking to a CSR who said it was out of stock for sure. She said they might have them back on Wed though, so maybe that explains the 4 day shipping.

That is why I make it a point to get as much stuff as I can B&M.

First of all if saves shipping costs (most of the time)
Most places Anandtechers order from are national so you have to pay tax is nearly every state so that dosen't save you.
Second CSR are usually well informed, compared to in-store clerks and you can get away with much more stuff.
I have gotten so many 'dead' deals going to B&M rather than trying to call CSRs

Of course if you constantly badger the same store and see the same managers etc they will start to suspect things.

Just got off the phone with "Jeninifer" who put me on backorder (no staples for 40 miles in chicago). Contacted Rebate status dept. who said they will accept the rebate even if it ships after the order deadline. If you modify the order, don't let them change your order #, keep the old one and ship it w/ the rebate form.
Jennifer said her supervisor isn't sure that these will go back in stock as there are 7200 rpm drives flooding the market.. right.
What stories are you all hearing??

Guaranteed from Staples and Parago (fulfillment warehouse), but you still depend on the U.S. Postal service. If it wasn't for the fact that only the U.S. Postal Service can deliver to P.O. Boxes (for the rebate mail-in address), I would use UPS... actually, I would use UPS though the Staples shipping center!

Still, the rebate arrives much more often than not.

I couldnt get my order # to work online either. I called the csr and she was able to get me my ups tracking #'s. My confirmation email gave me a delivery date of 5-28, but UPS says it will be here on the 22nd. I ordered it sunday afternoon.
