i didnt order from the website.. i did a completely fresh order over the phone and everything worked fine.. so i was never charged the original 89 or whatever in the first place..:beer:

Staples reneged on the deal. My order has been conveniently cancelled due to "item not available". It was "available" when I placed the order on Wendsday. It was "available" when I got the price match over the phone Thursday morning. Now sudddenly they have decided it's "not available". Very deceitful. Anyone else have their order cancelled?

Yeah, they charge you the full price first and credit the PM to your credit card in a couple of days. That's what happened to me; I got my credit back already.

Well I did this deal a total of 4 times, I just received all 4 hard drives from UPS 10 minutes ago. Thanks mysticman, you da man. I've received 2 credits from staples (from orders I placed 6/16), the other 2 credits to my VISA should be coming monday or tuesday, according to the CSR.

I ordered mine on Wednesday night also and a staples CSR called me this morning to inform me that while the drive will be delivered a day later than expected (I was originally going to have it today) the order was still good unless I wanted to cancel it. One day doesn't matter to me, though.

Does anyone know if a enclosure can be used for this drive, as I need to use it with my laptop.


Update - This drive is not coming up in the search on staples.com, the only drives with 80 GB capacity are external ones.

Staples has totally removed the 80GB HD from their website so the deal is DEAD as of now.

They wised up that everyone was PM the drive and losing at ton load of money on the deal.

I did this last night at about 12.30 my time, and when I called to PM I was informed that the rebate listed at outpost was dead as of midnight even though the price was still listed as 99.99 -50=49.99, but when you click on the download rebate button @ outpost there was a new $30 rebate, so I PMed to that, hopefully I can call back and PM to Best Buy today.

I ordered Three of these my first Drive came Yesterday, the 2nd drive arives today ,and the 3rd I placed Last night says proccecing.....
on 6/17 my credit card was hit with $9635 on 6/17 my credit card was hit with a $58.33 CREDIT Total $38.02......................The drive to come today says shipped on Staples sight....There is no hits to my card or credits for that one ......yet

I did this deal on Sunday in BM and my total with tax was $42.39. I bought this drive w/ the 15 off 75 in store coupon. This deal went off w/out prob. If you can't get it online just go to BM and do the deal, be sure you have the best buy ad with you and they probably won't call BB.
