Picked it up this weekend and have been playing the "MyPlayer" for a while. It's quite fun, but I'm playing with an xbox 360 controller. Sports games just aren't designed for a mouse+keyboard, you really need some sort of gamepad with an analog stick. If you don't have one and don't plan on getting one, then I'd suggest skipping this and not going through the hassle.

mlb2k10 pitching and batting controls on the xbox360 controllers is FANTASTIC. as close as you can get to wii-motion without a wii. i absolutely love the controls, and everyone that learns how to do it loves it too. its easy to learn, fun to play and difficult to master. i wouldnt change one damn thing with the way the pitching and batting work in mlb2k games.

That's nuts. For 2bucks? Come on. That's cheaper than a large frie at McDonald's. For the money u saved u can buy a new wired 360controller for about $24. This is a descent game too. THANK YOU 2K for bringing sports games to the PC. Next bring on some football!!

Is it really that good? I picked it up and am having way too much trouble getting the xbox 360 controller to work for it on the PC. Seems like a buggy piece of shit to me.

Edit: Just tried it again. It's a seriously buggy piece of shit and literally isn't worth the $1.99 I paid for it. If you use the mouse/keyboard at any point in the game, you have to use it for the rest of the game as the controller will no longer work. What the fuck is that all about.

Now I know why this was so cheap. If it seems too good to be true, it is.

I used to be the same way until I rid myself of consoles. Some games are just sooooo much better with a gamepad. I am finding myself spending more times on gamepad games than KB and mouse games, and that's scary. I play NBA 2K10 and DiRT 1/2 more than I play Starcraft 1/2 of the Day of Defeat series.

If you get a genuine Xbox 360 controller you will be set for almost every game. I do not like the Xbox, but the Controller is the best out there. If only I could get a gamecube>PC adapter then there would be some competition.

No problems on my Logitech Rumblepad 2... although there doesn't seem to be any rumble

No troubles getting it to work with the xbox 360 controller, although I have seen the issue mentioned above where I must have used the mouse to click on something and it wouldn't recognize the controller until I quit and then restarted the game. Luckily you can save at any point during a game so I didn't lose any progress, but it was a little annoying. However, I've now played over 300 games (my player, so not full games) and have only seen that issue twice.

Edit: No problems with the xbox 360 wired controller. Pitching was so hard the first play through, now I'm used to it and its the best pitching game play that i've encountered.

The game runs at 100fps constant, 1680x1050, 8xAA with all on high at stock with my Radeon 4830. Vsync on makes the game play much more smooth, but my 4830 plays this game maxed out with no slowdowns.
