$217 after rebate ($20) + ship but no tax so it's not the factory overclock MSI, but not much more expensive than the dell deal thanks to sales tax in CA.

Thanks, Good info! I still have one on order. I did bite on the $299 BFG 512MB 8800GTS. Was much more than I wanted to spend put they shipped it so fast, I couldn't second guess myself. O, it's SWEET!

Well, I guess I need to cancel my Dell order unless I can find a friend that wants it. I hate to let Dell off the hook. I think Ill wait a week and then cancel

I'm never buying anything from those guys again. We should start a campaign to make sure Dell gets the lowest ratings possible in biz rate sites. This was the most frustrating experience of ordering anything from any online company I've ever had. What a joke this company has become.

I got my second must respond for the ok to except the delay deal again. I was one of the first to order card on 11-24-07. I called them yesterday... only to be told the card is not going to come. They asked me if I would like to cancel... Yike's how stupid can they be. They said they had nothing in their inventory to substitute for the order. She went on to thank me for the order and is there anything else she could do for me. ... LOL.. I said why.. you can't deliver on the first order. She again went on to tell me .. Dell was what ever.. blah blah blah. Told her I was done with dell.

I would just like to know if anyone got a msi card out of this deal.

Got mine sorta substituted for the evga 8800gt they had in stock this past weekend. was a hassle, but got my card yesterday

That's the funniest thingy. one delay is bad enough, 3!!? Dell is going for the recond this time .. most delays in the industry award.

here is a duzzy. So I get the delay email again and please contact us to OK the delay. Send them an email saying OK on the delay. They reply with your request has been documented email. Go to my account page today to find the order has been cancelled. So what the hell I've got some time to kill. Fire up the old Dell omline chat to get this response.

Canceling orders without explanation is SOP for Dell. I stopped shopping from them when it happened to me 4 years ago.

Today was my estimated ship date (third one), but I expected another delay notification instead. I got neither. So I clicked on the status link and saw that Dell had cancelled it.

The way I see it. Dell and MSI are big company's that knew what the supply was. They advertised a product for several days taking orders they knew they could not fill. Simply false advertings... baiting customers and just sending delay notices to all. That kept many from buying other cards on market place.

Best Buy is another company advertising product with little or no supply. Often says "sold out online" soon as ad hit's the internet. Then; low and behold... the product shows up in stores day after sale date expires. I do believe we have some government action comimg to Best Buy soon. I can only hope they lean on Dell too.

Dell also canceled my order without an email or phone call. I originally ordered on 11/24. Spoken with the customer service reps on the phone and also online regarding the numerous delays. I found out that not one single msi 8800gt was ever shipped from this dell order. Im pretty happy i got in on the buy.com deal which got me my card in 2 days.

the last time was SO bad and so stupidly irritating that i swore 'never dell again' ... and i am the better for it

Got another delay notice email, plus a phone call to my cell phone with a recording saying that the order will be automatically cancelled... unless I go out of my way to contact them to keep it on backorder.

They're trying REALLY hard to cancel it.

Shall we place bets on the card reappearing at a higher price once the last low-priced order is cancelled?

Is this all really a surprise? Putting Dell and Pay Pal together is like letting FEMA handle a natural disaster.

They constantly make promises that they cannot fulfill and if you ask them to explain what happened they don't have a clue in the world. How does either company even make any money?

I'm still hanging in there, scheduled to ship on 1-7. I'm also watching Provantage, like Dell they've been using the same delayed shipping tactics. Their stock ETA now is 1-2. If they get stock in on 1-2 then maybe Dell will ship this time. A big maybe.

I just don't see how it's worth it sitting on this deal, hoping Dell will deliver. Not having the card for 4 weeks and counting far outweighs the money saved with the deal. I stopped shopping at Dell the moment they canceled one of my stacking coupon iPod orders in 2004. They just aren't a reliable retailer.

Dell Rep. Called me today changed ship date to 1/18/08. I was suppose to get it 1/11/08 and 12/13/07 before that. I ordered 11/28/07. He says my 2 cards will ship on or before 1/18/08 if I agree to new ship date. I agreed. A machine called me 15 minutes later to confirm the changed ship date also said something about a federal trade law that they have to ask your permisson to change the ship date or cancel your order. I will let you know if my 2 cards show up next week or ship. lol.

Dell canceled my order (now scheduled to ship on 1/22, ordered before thanksgiving like most of you). This experience has _really_ soured me to Dell for any future purchases.

Damn people still waiting for these cards? the 8800gt will be old news when you guys get your "new" cards. its 1 week shy of 2 months now. heheh.
