Well my NCIX order I made last week (which was only $15 more) is scheduled to arrive on Friday so it looks like I'll be canceling this. Dumb bastards.

Got mine yesterday..Card came in a retail box no games like advertised..3 day shipping from DHL... Price was 208 plus taxes&? so long ago I can't remember? Ordered it on 11/24.. I called dell every week for a status and watched e-mails and any notices sent me..

Talked the CSR into giving me a credit of 50..I wanted 75 off, said I know of people whom dell has personally given 75 off, but she wanted specific case numbers to reference.. Since I could not come up with any., Thus I settled for the 50 off..Total cost is around 150-175 plus close to 2 months waiting..I tried out Crysis on the new card and it was smooth as silk. I am happy I waited. Only wish that PCClub deal came thru , 7900 gts card , that would have been the icing on the cake.. If you are still on wait don't give up.

I gave up after the last round of delays. Glad to see someone finally got one though. It is a great price on the card in the end. Completely unacceptable service on Dell's part of course, but still.

Mine is still "In Production" with an estimated ship date of 01/24/2008.

I got the BFG from Dell for $222.00 with the 12% Reward Zone Discount.

If I get this I will sell to my Dad for Flight Simulator. Oh Well, we'll see if it is shipped or canceled...

Any more delays and you would think the $50.00 paypal might show up before the video card. This is totally wrong on Dell's part and Im sure it will cost them in the long run for consumer satisfaction and future orders.

I got a delay email yesterday around noon and replied back to it last night saying that I do consent to the delay. Got an acknowledgement this afternoon saying that my election has been noted. Just now check the status and the stupid idiots cancelled my order. It probably won't do much good but I replied back and asked them to reinstate the order. I'm out a $50 coupon unless I get them to issue me another one.

The thread is still alive because some of us are still waiting to see if it actually ships. Its a game now. Just waiting until I can the card from some else for about the same price. Then I'll be happy to cancel this bleeping order.

haha, just got delayed again to feb 19. I originally ordered nov 27. I don't care at all since I bought from best buy a month ago for 220 out the door. I just wanna see how shitty Dell can be. I have bought a few monitors from them and everything came super fast. I cant believe how much of a fiasco this turned out to be

My order also pushed back till feb.19, originally nov. 28. I will play Dell's little game with them right till the end. Dell Sucks. I already bought 2 from Worst Buy and returned them for a refund after one fan stopped working (BFG OC) and test drove the other one for 45 days for free. Dell should do the right thing and replace all these orders with another brand that they have in stock.

I really think a Dell has treated the customers with no respect. Just trying to get everybody to drop their orders on these msi 8800gt cards. They show 8800GT cards in the xps line of desktop computers availble now. The cards have come up on other sites availble at times too. If they would offer the card in another brand or something to these customers.... that would at least save some future customers. I wish I could get enough people together for some kind of legal action and pressure on Dell. They clearly have falsly advertised this deal, and done nothing but delay. I have not heard of anyone getting the msi 8800gt card yet from dell. Complaints should be filed at BBB and the FTC for false advertising.

This thread should not be dead. looks to me like others are holding out for dell to deliver. Good luck people.

I will come back to see if anybody can claim they actually recieved their order.

Those that are waiting for dell are waisting their time.
Ingram has tons of these units in stock at their lavergne, TN facility. Thats where dell third part items ship from.mostly.
If you really get pissed and want to play dirty with them, like my neighbor and senior member on the boards here.
His order got canceled a couple of weeks ago for no reason. When he called to find out why, they said that he had requested them to cancel. After arguing for a while and figuring out that most of the indian or Pakistani operators don't know very many American curse words, he gave up.
Since then he has been ordering unreal amounts of systems from them and refusing delivery.
Sometimes the fedex guy shows up with two or three systems and they all go back.
Funny thing is, dell has yet to say anything or even refuse an order. and he gets a full refund within 3 days of them getting the system back.
He's pretty vicious for an old guy.
And I doubt he's the only one screwing dell over.
A little mean spirited for my taste.

In all fairness, I don't think that's accurate. I know that the Sparco is based in TN and I believe they are even an offshoot of Ingram and they show no stock.

Also, not positive but I believe BLT also displays Ingram inventory and if you look there you will see the numbers on backorder (those are probably Dell orders for the most part).

Lots of new systems for Dell outlet.

Dell knows they screwed up on this deal and is wiggling out. I considered filing complaints with BBB and others just to cause them grief and try to make them honor our orders. Wasn't there a way to check stock at Ingram even though we don't have direct access?


EDIT: JmsAndrsn beat me to it. I was thinking of Sparco.com.

Glad to hear customers sound off and take action. For the gentleman ordering things and sending them back.... Good for you. Your just doing what dell has done. They wanted money for the order.... but; dell doose not get the money. Kinda like what they did to all of us. We oreded in good faith... they refuse to deliver. If dell really wanted to deliver... they would have.

One other thing that really dissappointed me, was the poor broken english speaking customer service they use. I have had it it to here with that stuff. Dell...WAKE UP! I am done with you!

Myself... I tell everybody to order from somebady else. Dell has grown huge over customers buying there products. If several hundred past customers kept passing the word about how poor Dell has treated them, It will have some effect over time. You just have to keep it going. The internet will help. I came to these forums to learn as much as I could before ordering parts. I trusted this anandtech forum, and feel very good about the many people helping with their updated information. Many thanks to you all.

One more thing.. sorry for the long post. .. When I finally gave up on dell. and told the woman she could cancle my order (after many request from her to do so ) she mentioned something about me getting a survey from them.... Never got one. I know why... they don't want the bad feed back to show up. They just want praise for job well done.

I was ok to wait as long as the card was OOS everywhere. But now most people have them ready to sell, even the MSI card in stock in most places(Both Newegg and Zipzoomfly have it in stock). But when I see Dell selling their new XPS computers with 8800gt cards in them, theat the last straw. OK Dell, Game On.

Sparco is a offshoot of ingram but the vast majority of ingrams inventories are not open to sparco. Reason being?, several years ago the sparco system was intertwined with retailers systems ,like staples. people would search the sparco system find item numbers and then order from retailers using those numbers or the combination of the number. Many times the retailer was selling the item for what they paid sparco because they had never updated the system with their retail price. So sparco's sytem was scaled back and limited to whatever ingram decided should be shown. The only real way to get accurate inventory figures from Ingram is to contact your corporate sales rep at ingram and just ask.
The reason I know they have them is because "vicious" owns a strip center with several small stores.He has a corp account with several divisions inside ingram. His sales rep in the video department does him favors like that all the time.
I am not sure if I will ever order from dell again or any other company that uses those indian call centers. That includes epson. They have sent 6 r340 printers to addresses all over the west coast that were suppose to come to me, and they didn't get one back yet. The last one they sent came to my towns fedex facility. The last one was shipped to Epson warranty return sevice center from the warranty return center.
I would have much rather have talked to the little stoner dude from the comercials a few years ago.
